Aztecjeff
Alabama has the best college football team $$$ can buy... including its players! Don't for a minute think those boys aren't aren't being paid under the table. Putting that aside, which NFL squads could Alabama realistically beat this year? And why? mugtang
None. Alabama is a great college team. But they couldn’t beat a NFL team. 1 Quote thelawlorfaithful, on 31 Dec 2012 - 04:01 AM, said:One of the rules I live by: never underestimate a man in a dandy looking sweater

There's a big difference in the level of talent at the college and pro levels. Only the absolute best college players make it in the NFL. Alabama has several great players, but not enough to beat an NFL team, not even the lowly Raiders.

I’ve casually thought, oh yeah Bama could beat the Raiders. But then you remember that NFL players spend 24/7 training. Almost all NFL teams are of near equal talent with only a few key players separating the good from bad teams. The speed and physical development of NFL players outstrips any college player. The Raiders would beat the Tide 63-0. 2 Quote thelawlorfaithful, on 31 Dec 2012 - 04:01 AM, said:One of the rules I live by: never underestimate a man in a dandy looking sweater

alum93
They would get destroyed against any NFL team. But they are a great college team. Both Georgia and Clemson are still capable of knocking them off.
Jeffkills
I bet Bama beats up on my wac ass Cowboys... I’ve always thought an elite college team could beat NFL teams... People who have always believe there’d be no chance are delusional; hell, that 2011 BSU team could have beaten an NFL team that year....
Jeffkills
I’m serious, you take an elite college unit and line it up against a dysfunctional NFL team - there’d be upsets.. Might as well say no mid-major could ever beat an SEC team..
