If you're in the WH press briefing, and you get to ask your question and then you refuse to give up the mic. especially when the WH aid tries to take it back from you?
Um, your OUT.  It is a privilege to be in the WH.  There's thousands of people who would like to be in there, if your going to be there at all then you best be following the rules.
Anyone who pretends to support Acosta on this at all is simply because they don't like Trump period.

No... it's because it was a blatant violation of both the First and Fifth Amendments.

Yep... Sherrill v. Knight set that forth. That's likely the whole reason they tried to use the physical interaction as an excuse for it, because they couldn't arbitrarily take his credentials from him.

arbitrarily?  LOL

This gave them a narrative and "excuse" to do it... they couldn't have just taken his credentials because he was mean to poor widdle Trumpy. They needed something that they could sell.

No they didn't.  They screwed up by doctoring the video and using it as the excuse.  His behavior, lack of taking his turn, interrupting over and over, was enough to boot his ass and they should have just done that.  I wouldn't have revoked his credentials.  Just escort his ass out and tell him that will be the case each and every time he acts like a pompous ass.

This video lays to rest the notion the press didn’t kiss Obama’s ass for eight years.

the media derangement syndrome is strong in this one.

Planning is an exercise of power, and in a modern state much real power is suffused with boredom. The agents of planning are usually boring; the planning process is boring; the implementation of plans is always boring. In a democracy boredom works for bureaucracies and corporations as smell works for skunk. It keeps danger away. Power does not have to be exercised behind the scenes. It can be open. The audience is asleep. The modern world is forged amidst our inattention.

Then why didn't they just do that and give that reason?

That's where you're wrong... go read Sherrill v. Knight and see how it applies to this situation. Taking his credentials for the reason that you laid out wouldn't have been enough to avoid Sherrill and it's application to this situation via the First and Fifth Amendments. All they really needed to do was to tell Acosta that they weren't going to call on him for questions with any frequency moving forward if he continued to behave in that manner, and the situation would have been over and done with. Taking his credentials, then trying to justify it with their bogus excuse, and then releasing a +++++ing InfoWars doctored video as "proof" just further proved what a +++++ing clownshow this really is.

No, the white house is a place of public business, and the first amendment (edit: and FOIA) empowers the press to be in there one way or another. That may manifest itself in different ways at different times. But it's a right to be in the WH, a sacred right.

Didn't say the Press couldn't be there.  But that there are thousands of people with press creds who would like to be there.  CNN can still be there as well.
Its not the Press, nor CNN that lost their privilege

If CNN followed up Acosta by sending person after person who acted the same way, and each time that person's cred was suspended, CNN would sue and win - because the press has a right to be in the white house.

The Press does have a right to be in the WH and ask questions.  If they don't give up the mic when told to do so, they will probably be removed each time.  If they had someone come in each time and do that, then either they would not be called upon period, or Trump would simply not talk to the press any longer.  They would just put out Sanders and just say talking points.  Maybe thats their goal huh?
