NevadaFan
Didn’t know what this was about but it sounds amazing. Lester_in_reno
Will probably just cannibalize other venues. Surely will be very nice! Amusing to hear Adelson mention the Raiders, a deal he walked out on.

Rebels18
This venue is going to be a bucket list destination for millions to watch their favorite band play--or any performance period. The cutting-edge video and sound technology in the Sphere is one of a kind in the world. There's nothing else that can even compare in the world currently and its f*cking awesome. Vegas is going to need attractions like this with parking fees, $17 burgers and $38 resort fees souring tourists on Vegas. I really hope they get these short-term profit gouges under control before it comes back to bite them. Many semiannual visitors are becoming just annual visitors.

The strip has turned into a stubhub transaction

MGM and others are going to continue to f*ck over and nickel and dime tourists to death for as long as they can and hope when the economy eventually dips they'll win the plebs back over with mass-marketing mini-vac deals. If they have short memories, with no more resort/parking fees, sweetheart room rates, drink coupons, maybe a 2 for 1 at the steakhouse---people will be strutting around the strip feeling like VIPs again. I hope it works.

Revenue breakdown used to be 70% gaming and 30% entertainment/dining/shopping-----nowadays its more like 30% gaming and 70% everything else. Which is why I laugh when dweebs still make cracks about associating Vegas with buffets, cheesy lounge shows, etc--- its evolved so far past that. mundyc3
This venue will deal with different promoters than T-Mobile Arena. It shouldn't be stealing many acts away, just adding to what already comes to Vegas.
