Mike Bobo admitted to hospital

it's good to know it's only one foot, and that his knee was replaced this spring. If it's both feet it's a different story.

Agree.  I'm only repeating second hand stuff, but it is promising stuff.  My only concern is that he's still in there.  You'd expect them to say "OK, it's not your heart", and he'd say "cool, I've got a team to coach.  Call me when you want more pictures and blood".  I guess we'll hear more soon.

I guarantee you they're running a ton of tests, and they're time consuming. I'd have been much more surprised if they kicked him to the curb already. Hopefully he's up and running again soon, but not too soon.

but on the other hand, how much are they actually going to tell anybody if there IS a problem. tightrope time.

the last thing bobo was shouting before he went to the hospital was "trips left! trips left!"

The first thing he was shouting when he got to the hospital was "save the leg, save the leg...why are you calling me Larry?".

Yep, several reasons.  Read between the lines though.  They didn't send him to see a specialist as an outpatient tomorrow, they admitted him for tests.  That would indicate that they not only feared the worst, but suspected it.  And then Bobo makes the statement that he's encouraged by the test results to this point.  The doctors will rule out anything life or limb threatening first, so it sounds like they have done just that and it's down to the plethora of less frightening options being figured out.  Pretty scary for his family, probably followed by a little relief that it's not the real bad stuff that they were worried about.  Once they get past the "oh shit" possibilities it stays a little scary but fear downgrades to worry.  I'm betting it's complications from his knee replacement this spring.  Surgeon probably left a gold cufflink in there and it's pressing on a nerve.  It is reported to be the foot on the leg the knee replacement was done on, and the symptoms did start after that procedure.  I'm praying for the guy and expecting to see him on the sidelines celebrating a blowout over Hawaii very soon.

Oh, that’s huge. One foot on the side of his new knee? Oh, it’s gotta be a pinched nerve. No problem. I had one of those tests where they clamp onto the nerve in the foot and do the same in the upper leg. Then they put an electrical charge on the foot and see how long it takes to reach the other clamp in the upper leg. If the time is too slow then you have a damaged nerve. Something like that. It felt great too.

He should also always be careful about getting a blood clot with the work that was done there. That can be an instant killer. If the clot gets past the turns in the knee, then it’s home free to the heart and if it’s a decent size you’re dead.

Probably on the the shitter and got preoccupied thinking about another 7-6 season and got dead legs.

In all seriousness though, I hope he comes out alright. Oddly enough I've heard that heart issues do manifest in the feet.
