No love for Curtis Weaver?

13th overall for sacks in the nation as a RS Freshman, All MW team, and All-American honors from Steele, among others?

Oh well, I guess it's bulletin board material for him.

Neither he or Jabril Frazier. Both are future NFL guys, but I think the fact that they are sharing time and both playing a hybrid OLB/DE position, maybe that makes them tough to rank? I do think safety Kekoa Nawahine (108 tackles, 3 int in 2017) should be on the list. I would have RB Alex Mattison up in the top 25 too.

@steveem List above is missing #18 ranked CB Tyler Horton, BSU.

They are just not going to put a lot of G5 guys on that list. It is all for fun anyway some guys might not be as talented as another but are much better players and more important to the team. I would not be surprised if Tezino had better stats than Lakalaka this year. All SDSU lineman are hybrid and they all rotate, so I get it

That is a head scratcher. First freshman ever to be named to the MW Defensive 1st team. Led the conference with 11 sacks as a FR. FR AA. Makes it look like a mildly researched list.

I'd have Netane Muti top 10 in the MWC and top 10 at his position nationally before i'd have mike bell that high.  And I really like Bell and think he's NFL bound, but he was the more inconsistent of our safety duo last year, whereas Muti was excellent against pretty much everyone but that freak of a DT Washington had.

Also I think McMaryion deserves a top 30 slot.

Weaver and Frazier were definitely snubs IMO.  But I think Mattison is really high.

IMO Wingard is #1.  IMO He was the best individual player in the MW last year.

Mattison runs his ass off but i think he's a touch high yea

Well, you are only as good as your blockers. I like Washington but if he does not get the blocks he gets hammered. If SDSU line stays healthy and improves as much as one usually odes for frosh to Soph they will run well and more than just Juwan. However, if they can pass block better then it will be nine in the box and there is no Penny on the team.  The three best teams still have to stay healthy at key positions. Horton makes Woody Hayes look like Jm Jones in imagination.  I can see the Aztecs go 8-5 or 11-3.

I think the expectations are higher from Boise fans because he should see a pretty sizeable jump in number of carries (only had 40% of teams rushing attempts in 2017 due to Cozart and Wolpin getting 40% - this year Mattison will probably get 60+% of the carries and 1500+ yards).

And he's the most NFL ready running back in the MW (Juwan and Lexington are 5'-7"ish and under 200, while Alex is 6' and 215).  So it depends on whether you're talking about who will be most productive next year (probably Lexington) or who will be the top player drafted at the next level (probably Mattison).
