I think that Trump is more divisive because he didn't have slavery and everything else looming. He's purposefully poured gas on every little fire we've had in the country.

Yeah but that is not how grading a word like divisive works.  You are either more divisive or less divisive.  They did not have to contend with social media and cable news...

But they did directly lead to Civil War.

People are too comfortable.  Besides how could the left win a war?  Bongs and dildo's against scary black death machines like the AR-15?

Plus, conservatives tend to dominate the police and military.

What other President has caused this much strife in the United States? I'm genuinely curious here. I mean, I guess a point can be made for Lincoln, since he went to war to keep the country together. I think that we can all agree that those were significantly different circumstances though.

Nixon, LBJ, Grant, Jackson, Adams. Lincoln was unpopular throughout most of the war within the union. Wilson would make this list if his political opposition were allowed to speak up without serious repercussions.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

I can understand your point. I maintain that Trump would love to create a new Civil War on cultural lines.

Was she asked to leave because she was a Republican, or because of her, personally?

I think it was because her smokey eye was made from lies.

It's funny, I feel like Obama repeatedly poured gas on the fire.  And I voted for Obama.

I didn't vote for Obama, but I didn't think he really poured gas on the fire. He became more moderate as his term progressed. Though he didn't have much of a choice with the Republicans controlling Congress.

Personally, I think our government works best when one party controls the Executive, and the other party controls or mostly controls the Legislative.

I wish Sarah was gay just to watch liberal's heads explode from the cognitive dissonance.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

I voted for McCain.

I also voted for Romney---under duress, mind you. My fiancé said I had to vote for him for our family. I was going to leave it blank.

In the 2016 election I voted for Johnson.

My wife got pissed at me for voting for Johnson instead of Hillary... she hated Trump that much. I told her that I couldn't in good conscience vote for either one of those shitstains.

Andrew Jackson was very popular at the time among basically everybody.

I mean he committed genocide on his own turf so uhm, yea.  But at the time he was not divisive, really.  Widely considered a hero

The last several elections have gone like this for me.  Bush 2, Badnarik, Obama, Romney, Johnson

I'm really sick of Republicans and Democrats in general.  They're all shitbags.

Badnarik, Barr, Johnson, Johnson for me.
