Coming water crisis

To be fair, what you are railing against here is the crime of every poster on this board who seems to fancy themselves an unquestionable expert in the economy, politics, race relations, the constitution, high stakes legal matters and of course how to solve Palestine and Israel. We would have no discussions on here if everyone stayed in their lane.

I mean, we're a republic with strong egalitarian principles. The whole point of it is that everyone discusses and votes to the best of their ability and in that crucible, we get better governance than otherwise.

Remember that every argument you have with someone on MWCboard is actually the continuation of a different argument they had with someone else also on MWCboard.

You boring.

It's old news. These predictions come every 5 years. We were supposed to get these cuts by 2015 too. The "coming" crisis isn't new and neither has been the talks. It's been around for 2 decades.

Of course I go off on how great Vegas is at conserving water. Look at the numbers...is that not pretty +++++ing nutty progress? Imagine if all these other places realized where the +++++ they lived and took the same measures we did?

Who said law of the land is outdated? The whole point is Rules is saying Vegas is stealing water, yet its been using less than it's allotment for the last 15 years....who do you think "steals" up the portion Vegas doesn't use. Kalifornia. Known fact. They use up whatever allotment is left from other states and then their own...they only need 1.5 MAF down to Mexico.

You read the local papers too much. Might they be selling you a load of bullchit so developers can keep building? Nah!

Certainly Vegas will dry up if nothing changes. But plans are in place to help. Nothing we can do ourselves, here in Vegas, will be enough so we will need to collectively, as the SW United States, figure out how to mitigate the problem in the future. Vegas has not done absolutely everything it can do yet, but what is left to be done by us does not move the needle very much. If anything, it would just maintain the status quo, which is insufficient. The US west of the Rockies will be water importers in our lifetimes. Desalinization in Mexico, watersheds in Canada. We need to be building pipelines for water, not oil.

That sentence took you longer to type than it would have to google something "national" to help inform yourself.
