Blues, we're talking about a war that hasn't been hostile in over 60 years, in which America and China haven't seen a shot fired in anger in that time, in which the primary antagonists have reverted to the two Koreas, and we talk about a current Nobel.

Why would you bring up us and China? Do you understand how time works?

Sometimes you're smart, but when you're dumb, you're +++++ing dumb

Seriously? You think that a single sabre rattling military exercise is the deciding factor in ending a 70 year old war? And that the current President is the only one who has done such moves?

Trump's moves seem to be working.

Yeah.

What has Trump done?

Moon handed us this meeting on a silver platter. Moon was the one who approved a combined Korean olympic team. Moon has been moving for reconciliation and not taking a hardline stance for years.

What has Trump done?

This isn’t about Korea, it’s about the US and China and whether a belligerent North Korea is strategically useful the Chinese. Up until now, a crazy dog on a leash has been helpful, now it is not. The REASON why they are no longer useful is because of President Donald J Trump.

The Chinese desire to be the world’s super power but more importantly, the regional hegemon. Regional hegemon's vastly prefer unarmed neighbors as opposed to armed ones. Instead of responding as all administrations before to NK aggression; strongly worded letters at the UN and utterly ineffectual sanctions, followed by “humanitarian” trade restoration, Trump went on offense.

He has used the threat of a nuclear NK as an excuse to arm China’s neighbors and increase US military presence in the region. He went to South Korea and announced a multi-billion dollar arms sale to Taiwan. The same day, Treasury sanctioned a large Chinese bank for financing NK trade. He placed theater ABM systems in the south. He encouraged Japan to re-arm, their 2018 budget is its largest ever and includes Aegis systems, Advanced Patriot systems, F35’s, a couple of ships and a sub. He forward deployed B1’s and B-2’s. He’s added another carrier task force in the Sea of Japan. Perhaps the most important move as far as China is concerned? Sailing the USS Carl Vinson into Danang Harbor on a friendship mission. The first ship to visit Vietnam since the end of the war. Add to all of this, the trade tariffs, sanctions; i.e. Qualcomm not allowed to sell chips to ZTE, and you can begin to understand why talks are ”suddenly” taking place

China has gotten the message; an armed NK is no longer in its best interest. Xi summoned Little Rocket Man to China for a little heart to heart a few weeks back, Pompeo flies to NK for secret talks and things are suddenly moving.  To say the Trump has done nothing to bring about these events about is profoundly ignorant. To credit Moon is simply laughable.

The fact is, you and your Poo Flinging Hate Monkey squadron mates continue to under-estimate the man. You’re hatred blinds you. Trump is working the deal. Deal With It.

Lol.  It's like the opposite of thanks Obama but you're sincere

Remember that every argument you have with someone on MWCboard is actually the continuation of a different argument they had with someone else also on MWCboard.
