dshawfan
My initial reaction was how asinine, but this may actually be a brilliant strategy to control Daddy ?? http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/22187745/lavar-ball-serve-assistant-coach-liangelo-lamelo-team-lithuania

Walkonaztec
Don't like the dads personal antics but he has been there from day one so he must be a great dad. This move to Lithuania is starting to be something good for both of his sons. Ive watched all of their games and they are improving everyday. They were not improving at the High School level and you could see it specially from Melo. Melo at the High School level every shot he took was a 3pt shoot and played zero defense. Now he dishes the ball and goes hard to the rim. He still takes 3pt shoots he should not take but he is a 16 yr old boy playing with grown men. Plus anybody guarding him plays hard on him every play. The league is 10X better than high school level basketball even though its the 11th best pro league. Ive coach high school basketball as an assistant and I would take any 5 players from the Lithuania league against the best high school team in California. Their league is equivalent to D2 or lower lever D1 basketball. Melo will be a 1st round pick in 2 yrs when he turns 18 years of age if he continues to develop. Gelo on the other hand needs to improve his conditioning and quickness. Would benefit playing another year of higher international ball preferably in Spain before declaring for NBA.
