Final Nod to the Josh Allen Hype Train

The problem with JaMarcus Russell, was entirely JaMarcus Russell.

I saw an article that said that he would barely bother to do any homework each week on opposing teams.  The guy got paid and just didn't care anymore and he didn't even try to stay in shape.

But being compared physically to JaMarcus Russell isn't a bad thing.  Being compared to his attitude regarding the game certainly would be.

So you are trying to tell me Josh Allen doesn't like purple drank?

When it comes to how each views the game, Russell is the antithesis to Allen.  There is zero doubt that Allen loves playing football.  One of the best competitors to come out of the MWC.

Peter Schrager mock draft 1.0: Cardinals trade up for Josh Allen

“PROJECTED TRADE WITH BROWNS. If the Cardinals can't land Kirk Cousins, don't be shocked if they sign a "bridge" veteran quarterback and trade into the top 10 for Darnold, Allen, Josh Rosen or Baker Mayfield.”

The hype that Allen got in the Denver media was over the top last season.  Who will be the next Wyoming QB?

My guess is either Vander Waal or Sean Chambers, but certainly that will depend on early performance on the field.  Both are 3stars out of CA.

Allen is killing it at the combine.  Those ESPN announcers that have been pretty critical of Allen this past 6 months are now shaking their heads and saying "how does a talent like Josh Allen end up at a University of Wyoming?"

Keep rocking it Josh!

This is where Allen shines though. The raw ability is off the charts.  It is the accuracy, pocket presence and footwork that have made people question his stock.  The good news is that he can work on those and try to correct them.

Good to see him have a good though.  This can only help.

He did what he had to do today and very well.  Everyone's picking him as today's winner at QB.  Well, except for Brady Poppinga.  He loves us Cowboys!

I did ol’ Brady Poppinga a favor. I’m sure he’ll thank me later.

From nfl.com

Winners

Josh Allen, QB, Wyoming: To the surprise of scouts in attendance, Allen was the best passer on the field Saturday. He not only showed exceptional range as a deep-ball thrower, but he was on point with his short and intermediate tosses, particularly out-breaking routes to the boundary. In addition, Allen displayed improved footwork and mechanics on his throws, which led to better accuracy and ball placement. While it is important to keep a T-shirts-and-shorts workout in perspective, this stellar outing from Allen will prompt some scouts to view the Wyoming product as the No. 1 quarterback prospect in the class, based on his physical dimensions and his limitless potential.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I’m a Broncos fan so I wouldn’t complain. Would be great for our recruiting market (Denver). Number 1 overall pick to the Broncos...I like the ring to that. B)
