sweating this one out with John Ramey on the Pack radio call.

heard he had to beat out 90 applicants for this job.

What happened with Radke?

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

Besides that, Ramey’s problem is that he gets so caught up in “time and score” stuff (I swear he updates every 10 seconds) that he forgets to build a picture for the audience.  The latter was Radke’s strength.

Is it fitting or irony that possibly the most versatile word in the English language is also of unknown origin?

Good for him. We were lucky to have him. He was that good right from the get go.

He was passable until his first UNLV game, which happened to be at UNLV.  Suddenly, something clicked into place, and he was really good.

What happened was he knew how the beatdown was feeling.

His postgame interviews are brutal. And his in-game calls aren't great either. But hey, at least he's bald and sports a creepy stache!
