The OG sports takes were great, I loved reading them. The board culture changed when poster like Utenation showed up (I know we all love him) according to the real OG's here. Turned into a flame palace and shit posting. It is much better now than it was in 2007 but the sports talk might never again reach what it was in the real, real OG levels before my time, based on the long timer recollections. I don't remember Halfman at all back then. The culture was certainly different back then. That was when there was a big conference rivalry with the WAC.. There were many posters here to cause trouble and flame the conference. I liked it though. Good fun and conversations and some of the WAC posters that are now MWC posters are top shelf. I never posted on the WAC board but there were plenty of WAC fans here. I seem to remember a lot of BSU fans here with an axe to grind. This is when Utah and BSU were both BCS busting. I think BSU fans have calmed down a lot since then, at least on this board. There's not many old timers left here, you are certainly one.. Some of the BYU fans on this thread like Bayou Coug and Celeritas were excellent posters. @NorCalCoug and I came from the old ESPN boards back in 2005. If I had to compare this board back then to today, I think there is much more diversity(a good thing) today and the political board was a good add.. One good thing back then is you had a lot more conference unity. Where as today, there's a lot of who is leaving or should be leaving to other conferences.
