The Clinton Foundation received almost 40 million from Frank Giustra and Uranium One while she was SecState but there was nothing to see there right? http://ijr.com/2015/04/305269-2-hillary-clinton-influence-russian-nuclear-fuel-deal-clinton-foundation-received-millions-dollars/

Uh, no. All of the uranium one donations came before Clinton was Secretary of State. And Guistra sold his interest in the company before authorization was given by the Nine different government agencies.

'As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three seperate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One's chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not properly disclosed by the Clintons', despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well. And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from an investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.'

You are looking at the original NY times story based on Clinton Cash. The fact check was done several months after that and debunks it.

The Trump campaign pointed to an April 2015 New York Times article about this deal, based on a preview of “Clinton Cash.” The Times said it “scrutinized his [Schweizer’s] information and built upon it with its own reporting.”

The story starts with Frank Giustra, a Canadian mining financier and donor to the Clinton Foundation; Giustra’s company, UrAsia; and Uranium One, a uranium mining company headquartered in Toronto.

In 2007, Giustra sold UrAsia to Uranium One, which was based in South Africa and chaired by his friend, Ian Telfer. Giustra said he sold his personal stake in the deal in fall 2007, shortly after the merger with Uranium One, in the midst of Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign and before Clinton realized Barack Obama would win the nomination and she would become his secretary of state.

Did you not read the article you linked? You missed this part.  'Individuals related to Uranium One and UrAsia, including Giustra and Telfer, donated to the Clinton Foundation, totaling about $145 million. The Times reported that Telfer also donated to the Clinton Foundation using his family charity based in Canada. These were donations made to the Clinton Foundation, not directly to the Clintons.' Also this gem was in there: "After the Russians announced that they would acquire stakes in Uranium One, and while the Kremlin was promoting the purchase, Bill Clinton received $500,000 in 2010 for a speech in Moscow from a Russian investment bank that had ties to the Kremlin. Putin personally thanked Clinton, the Wall Street Journal reported, adding that a review of Bill Clinton’s speeches “found no evidence that speaking fees were paid to the former president in exchange for any action by Mrs. Clinton.”

So I guess it is just a coincidence that since Hillary was defeated and has no political power anymore that the Clinton Global Initiative is shutting down next month. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/443890/clinton-global-initiative-shutdown-influence-peddling-criticism-vindicated

But keep telling us why Sessions meeting with the Russian ambassador was so awful and Bill Clinton taking half a mil from the Russians while Hillary was SecState was perfectly fine.

Pay attention... Almost all of the 145 million came from Giustra who sold his stake in the company in 2007. Over a year before Clinton became SoS.

Furthermore, the bulk of the $145 million comes from Frank Giustra, the founder of UrAsia Energy and a major Clinton Foundation donor. Guistra says he sold all of his stakes in Uranium One in the fall of 2007, "at least 18 months before Hillary Clinton became Secretary of State" and three years before the Russian deal. We couldn’t independently verify Giustra’s claim from UrAsia’s or Uranium One’s public filings.

I've given you three different fact checking sites now. I'm not aware of any more.

Sessions met with the Russians a day before the GOP platform on the Ukraine was changed to what the Russians wanted. And lied about it.

What about Telfer?

Your article says they couldn't confirm Giustra's claim. No one can. What isn't in dispute is that he did contribute millions to the Clinton Foundation. Does it really matter if it was before she took office as SecState or not? She was bought and paid for. Do you think after taking  $145 million that she would not do what he asked even if he sold his shares? And you still haven't addressed Bill Clinton giving a Moscow speech for $500,000 in 2010.

You conveiniently slip explaining to me why the CGI was shut down after Hillary lost? It was known they would shut it down if she won to avoid how bad it would look but why shut it down after she lost? Was there no more work that the CGI could have done to improve the world? Or is it a better explanation that contributions dried up because she had no more power to sell foreign governments and investors?

You forget that meeting was set up by the Obama State Department!  “The conference was an educational program for ambassadors invited by the Obama State Department to observe the convention. The Obama State Department handled all of the coordination with ambassadors and their staff, of which there were about 100 at the conference,”

Clinton didn't get money from the Clinton foundation. All of the donations were made before Clinton was SOS. Clinton had nothing to do with the government approval. All of the investors except Telfor had sold prior to the gvmt approval. There were over 300,000 people who donated billions of dollars. Clinton couldn't have stopped the deal if she wanted too.

It has been be bunked by every fact checking organization there is.

Now how about Manafort getting paid 10 million a year to lobby on behalf of Putin, illegally.

i can't believe I fell for the ole conservative pivot and pin something on Clinton false equivalence tactic again. This has nothing to do with Clinton. This is about Trump and his connections to Putin and the Russians.

"Clinton didn't get money from the Clinton Foundation." LOL!!!!! You're probably right. They just raised all that money because they want to help the world. After all they were broke leaving the White House remember?

Manafort was fired when they found out allegedly. If he committed a crime he should be prosecuted and if they didn't vett him properly then that's on Trump and his campaign. if Trump or his campaign committed crimes they should be prosecuted as well.

The reason I bring up Clinton is to highlight your hypocrisy. You see no problem with Bill taking half a mil in Russia in 2010 while Hillary was SecState but have a huge problem with Sessions saying hi to the Russian ambassador along with 100 other ambassadors at a speech the Obama State Department set up. My position is that if crimes are committed I want them prosecuted no matter the party. You bend over backwards to defend the Clintons when everyone knows they are unethical at best and completely corrupt at worse just because they are on your team.

Again, with respect to the Clinton Uranium deal.

Who cares.  Hilary was incompetent and crooked.  Even Democrats wouldn't turn out and vote for her.   Trump is increasingly appearing to be cut from the same cloth.  Perhaps that is why they were friends before the election.

Lets hope we get better choices next time.

President Donald Trump must pay a $2 million judgment for improperly using his Trump Foundation charity to further his 2016 presidential campaign, a New York state judge ruled Thursday.

The order appears to bring to an end the New York attorney general's lawsuit against the president and three of his oldest children over the now-shuttered foundation, which the attorney general said had engaged in repeated wrongdoing.

“Mr. Trump’s fiduciary duty breaches included allowing his campaign to orchestrate the Fundraiser, allowing his campaign, instead of the Foundation, to direct distribution of the Funds, and using the Fundraiser and distribution of the Funds to further Mr. Trump’s political campaign,” Scarpulla wrote in her ruling.

New York Attorney General Letitia James said Thursday in a statement: “The Trump Foundation has shut down, funds that were illegally misused are being restored, the president will be subject to ongoing supervision by my office, and the Trump children had to undergo compulsory training to ensure this type of illegal activity never takes place again.”
