Here is hoping it will help the Aztecs and getting a new on campus stadium.

Think the Holiday will move to LA as the Copper did with Tucson....however I would hope the Poinsettia Bowl will split from the H Bowl because that could help push the Poinsettia to after Christmas and be the premier bowl for the MW.

Holiday Bowl is owned by a San Diego coalition of businesses/hotels.  It will fold before it goes to LA

For serious? You realize there is already a plan in place for SDSU to expand their campus and build a stadium right??

Still need to do a lot of moneymaking, and private industry to block.  They are buzzards circling the carcass that is MV.  Time for SDSU alum to prove our mettle.

Is this for sure a done deal?  Don't they have to submit a relocation plan to the NFL and then all of the other owner's have to agree to it or you have to pay a big fee?  It would be a great thing for SDSU and the MW though.

Not for this move. This was all part of the plan to get a second team to rent Kroenke's new stadium in Inglewood. They granted Spanos first option to move, no strings attached. All he had to do was decide to move. Read an article this morning that indicated maybe the rest of the NFL owners were going to try to convince Spanos to not move, as the Rams didn't exactly set the world on fire ratings or attendance-wise this season, but they had no way to stop him.

Fans whose stadium is Mackay shouldn't be throwing "high school" stones.

Mackay...It's ours and it's "on campus".

And we only have to pay our coach $450k per year.

And San Diego State is locked in to a home and home with us....forever!

Pisses ya off, huh?

Not at all.  We currently play in a shithole, at least we

1)  Don't have to claim a shithole as our own

2)  Have to pay to keep it looking shitty.

Pisses ya off, huh?  :D

The Chargers will indeed return to the city in which they were founded, 57 years ago. And they’ll be spending two years in a 30,000-seat stadium, playing at the StubHub Center until the stadium they’ll share with the Rams opens in 2019.

then it'll fold. The new stadium isn't going to be big enough for the Pac B10 matchup.

That is their decision to make, and has no bearing on SDSU unless there is a PPP that includes them.  SD isn't going to keep a large stadium open for just SDSU and the bowl games.  It would make no sense for them.  With the imminent demise of the Q, it is prudent to work with SDSU, and possibly MLS to accommodate the bowls, if you are SD Bowl Games Commission.
