Haven't really kept track of them, but a loss is a loss. However, it is one game I know we wish we could do over. We were literally like a yard or two away from winning, but overly predictable play calling (since that game and Nebraska, it has gotten a lot better) cost it. How awful do you have to be to lose to Ron Caragher Version 2016? Caragher has won a dozen or so skirmishes but here are his historical counterparts: 1. George McClellan (once defeated the equally inept Joseph E. Johnston but when Robert E. Lee entered the picture it was all over) 2. Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna (somehow eventually captured the Alamo at the loss of 600 Mexicans to 150 Texans) 3. It is a game we all wish we could have back. It was ugly, painful, cringy, and ultra-conservative play calling. I'm not hyping them up, but the way SDSU fans (some of them) have hyped up South Alabama, you'd think they lost to the #1 team in the country. mysfit
Rankings are more than a single game. Head to head comes into play in things like tie breakers. but for rankings, it's body of work. Everyone knows that. Quote One of the Final Five..........

It was a strange night. EMU scored late to win after the Pokes had a chance to separate. It was a 3 point loss on the road....so yes I would rank Wyoming ahead of them too. If we played them right now, I would like our chances.

Boise still has the best body of work in the conference by a good bit, SDSU and Wyoming are currently playing better football. No, they don't. Wyoming had the best conference wins by a mile. Boise and Wyoming have very similar wins at home against the 24th and 25th ranked teams, Boise does not have a bad loss like Wyoming does and have played a tougher schedule. Yes Boise's body of work this year is better than Wyoming's. If somebody want's to rank teams on body of work it is not a slight against Wyoming. It has always been ranking the teams in the conference, not ranking the teams on their performance in conference play only. Sometimes the two are the same, sometimes they are not. People have always done it differently. Some rank them by body of work, some rank them by how they are playing right now (like my self) some by how they think things will finish. Therefore how good you guys are in comparison to SDSU and vice versa will be decided when we play at your house in a couple weeks and then when the two teams meet in the conference title game in December assuming we do. Boise? They totally screwed the pooch. SDSU's loss at Mobile was terrible but Boise's loss at Laramie was even worse. Boise may still get to a good bowl game but they better not lose to Air Farce in their season finale or they could wind up playing some shitty G5 opponent. Quote Boom goes the dynamite. They lost to a 6-2 Mountain West team. That's got to be better than losing to a 4-4 Sun Belt team, doesn't it? Maybe I'm misinterpreting, and you mean that Boise lost more than SDSU did (meaning a potential playoff spot)?
