ICYMI, Fresno State and Colorado State not pulling their weight

Recommended Posts

Is this what passes for sophisticated trolling around here? Maybe less homophobia?

Planning is an exercise of power, and in a modern state much real power is suffused with boredom. The agents of planning are usually boring; the planning process is boring; the implementation of plans is always boring. In a democracy boredom works for bureaucracies and corporations as smell works for skunk. It keeps danger away. Power does not have to be exercised behind the scenes. It can be open. The audience is asleep. The modern world is forged amidst our inattention.

Never heard of the writer before but everything he said was accurate.

Of course, he could have gone on to detail the limitations for all of us just by being in the Molehill West. Such as a terrible commissioner, the absence of a member in the state with the biggest supply of HS football studs, Texas, a horrible TV deal which brings minimal money and national exposure, etc.

Boom goes the dynamite.

Definitely should be doing more on the football field the last two years...just more affirmation for what we already know: that a healthy Bulldog football product is important to this conference...duh.

But we definitely pulled our weight in conference overall this last year...4 or 5 titles IIRC...CSU did too, as did SDSU, UNM, AFA (track) and even UNLV with some country club titles.
