USU has a potential first rounder in Kyler Fackrell. SDSU and BSU put loads of guys into the league.

Nevada has 2 guys starting in the super bowl this year, so I don't know why LakeBison is making a big deal out of a potential first round pick.

To be fair we haven't had anyone selected in the first round since 1949.

anyone watching Senior Bowl Coverage on ESPN 2 and NFL network?

NDSU's QB Carson Wentz is the "belle of the ball"  he is being mock drafted at #2 overall, #4 and mainly TOP 10.  Has any MWC school had a kid go that high or seen this much hype on?

Alex Smith went #1 in '05.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

Mississippi Valley State produced one of the best players in NFL history. I think the MWC should lock that program up - for the Mtn. Division of course...

Dont forget about Jackson State

Honest question.  Is there any legitimate momentum within the NDSU administration to compete at the 1-A level?  You and a few other message board posters are the only ones I have read that are discussing moving up as an option.  I don't see national writers talking about it.  Is the Forum even discussing it?

The run has been great for NDSU and they have received a lot of national press (none about moving up that I have read) and deservedly so.  Have there been any feasibility studies on what it will do to the university or how expenses would be covered with the bump up?  What sports would be added for Title IX with the increase in football scholarships?

By the way, are there any plans for NDSU to upgrade their library?  That should be priority #1 for the administration in Fargo if they want to be considered a major regional university.

@lakesbison No rebuttal?

Yes the NDSU admin & booster club has visions of moving up, they are waiting for the invite...(they think MWC will just drop 1 on them) I think they need to go AFTER the MWC with strippers, blow & strippers as incentive!

No Feasibility studies as of yet, they say once we get an invite, the study will be done but dont want to waste money until then:

Sports added would be Swimming/Diving , Equestrian.

NDSU library had a facelift last year but 50 million was just spent on a STEM building.

NDSU has 8 current NFL players and are sending 2 to the NFL combine, Wentz should go top 5 and LT Joe Haeg 6 6 315 going 2nd-3rd round

What conference would invite a school that hasn't done a feasibility study first to make sure they could move up?  Only the WAC is in the business of getting rejected by FCS schools.

NDSU is still waiting for its invitation.  71-5 over last 5 years 4 straight fcs titles and hopefully 5th in 2 weeks.

NDSU 8-3 vs FBS teams, beating kansas st, colorado st, minnesota, iowa st , kansas.

NDSU only seats 19,000 (sold out last 5 years before the season started) but its amazing and loud & could expand to 22,500 (MWC averages 23,500)

NDSU has new $44 million basketball arena, basketball team been to back to back Big Dances.

NDSU deserves a MWC invite, Fargo flies to Denver/Salt Lake City couple times a week, make it happen!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIqTcbDq088 Video of Football opening.... atmosphere beats ANY in MWC outside Boise St

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4u-UO8OlH84  NDSU on ESPN Gameday twice... whens last time MWC had them?

You sure you want in?  I mean, we've got some pretty sheety officiating going on in this conference.

well, lets face facts  MAC/Sun Belt wont invite NDSU because they would be the top football team the minute they signed on.

fact: a thing done; an actual occurrence

So it's DEFINITELY a fact that your school would be tops in football in those other conferences. And that "fact" is CERTAINLY a reason the MW should invite you.

Boom goes the dynamite.

Mountain West would rather have football stadiums half empty with zero atmosphere than a guaranteed sold out every game at NDSU.

You're insulting the conf. you want to get into? You don't know anything about attendance, especially in the MWC. In the last 5 years you've averaged in the low-mid 18's. Your Kibbie Dome+ only holds 19k. That's roughly a half full stadium in the MWC.
