Yeah... not if bigger conferences keep up the trend of inviting the schools in our fastest growing areas CU then UA, ASU then UU, BYU, TCU Remember that every argument you have with someone on MWCboard is actually the continuation of a different argument they had with someone else also on MWCboard. They get the hype, good players, some money and National Championships. Why screw with a good thing? Going 'up' means going 'down' because they don't have the resources to compete on a week to week basis. Great win against Iowa but overtime wins against Charleston and Eastern Washington...don't equate to week in and week out success verses better competition. The ratings are through the roof and I bet there are more people watching NDSU football in the dakota's/minnesota on Broadcast (FREE) TV than people in Denver watching Colorado State or Air Force or Wyoming Combined! New Basketball arena opens this fall... QB Carson Wentz is being talked about every day on National tv sports shows ..... NDSU should be in the MWC! So you guys don't have an FBS school scheduled in 17, 18, or 19 and I'm guessing no one will schedule you. What happens then when you just play FCS schools? Will you get any press? pokebball
NDSU's invite to the MWC is scheduled to be delivered the same day the B12 invite is delivered to CSU! 4 The World Needs More Cowboys!

lakesbison
NDSU IS WILLING & READY. problem is MWC & MAC wont invite them because they would win the conferences day 1. it sucks.
nvspuds
The problem is that your school is far away, doesn't offer a large enough tv market and your fine football program does not move the needle at all. The MW already has schools who win the conference..

It could, but there are so many variables at play. The MWC needs, more than anything else for the bottom 2/3's to get their acts together in football in order to be the top G5 football conference every year. 12 is the right number for now because of the money dynamics, which no one predicts to get better. Ever. And I'm no fan of dumping a current member to upgrade (and NDSU would be a serious upgrade for the schools in question). Right now, the MWC can at least look forward to a NY6 team every season. Nothing really enhances that all that much IMO. That said; our commissioner is a guy named Thompson or something and he's a knucklehead. So who knows. Question: when did the Iowa game get scheduled? How long ago? If it was within the past 2-3 years then Iowa's AD is a real idiot. I guess he couldn't predict that lofty preseason rank but you don't schedule the best FCS program. Risk-reward comes to mind. If I heard correctly. The AD for Iowa came from NDSU a few years ago.

I agree. The Bison are probably a tougher team than at least half the MWC right now. I think this year you'd dominate CSU, Fresno, San Jose, Hawaii, New Mexico and UNLV.
