nvspuds Posted March 31, 2016 Share Posted March 31, 2016 Mr Bison..You are a true fan of your school and I respect what they have done at the FCS level but you are still way far away and the MW is already full. If someone leaves I am sure you would receive some consideration but you would not be one of the top candidates..You need to get to the Sunbelt and get some years under you at the next level. The MWC schools range from $50 million to a low of $27 million, you need a $15 million dollar increase to get to where you need to be, you would not bring enough to offset the loss of adding a 13th member. Yeah, the conference doesn't "pimp" individual players, just like it wouldn't "pimp" beating a bunch of sub .500 FBS teams and touting lower level championships (albeit impressive in its own right) to higher level conference message boards. Now don't go ruining everything by joining the FBS. You don't want to play a perpetual and futile game of catch up with the P5 Joneses. Someday the FBS may split into two divisions. At that time it makes sense for NDSU and a few other top tier FCS schools to move up to join the current G5 schools in a new NCAA division in between FBS and FCS, FBS II if you will. It may never happen but NDSU's fate is much better in FCS than the current FBS. Active NFL Players by school Air Force - 1 Boise State - 15 Colorado State - 9 Fresno State - 16 Hawaii - 2 Nevada - 12 New Mexico - 4 San Diego State - 9 San Jose State - 11 UNLV - 4 Utah State - 13 Wyoming - 7 Your active NFL player argument holds no water.
