I own a vehicle likely worth more than everything you own combined and just flew first class (including a ticket for a 2 1/2 year old), round trip to Las Vegas and I'm not 35 yet. When you accomplish something outside of finishing a book, let me know. When's the last time you saw a 2 year old fly first class in their own seat? Don't tell me about elite.

Must be nice...

"Make like a tree and scram" - Rosegreen

Your administration is the reason why our basketball league is bleeding out currently. If you didn't insist on San Jose being in the MWC, so you guys would have someone that votes similar to SDSU, every team in the MWC wouldn't have to play 2 games vs. a team with a 330 RPI ranking EVERY season.

You guys are as stupid as you are desperate.   - Cowboy Junky

Great get, but interesting to see it reported that if Rice was canned, he wasn't going to commit to UNLV.

Makes sense to me. When you're weighing your choices between UNLV, UK, and KU, And the coaching staff that recruits you leaves one any of those schools, you'd have to rethink your choices wouldnt you?

Zimm City: Bishop Gorman big man picks UNLV

Stephen Zimmerman’s commitment vaults the Rebels’ recruiting class into the top 10 for the second straight season

After four years of fielding offers from every notable program in the country, Bishop Gorman High big man Stephen Zimmerman is going with the first one he ever received.

UNLV coach Dave Rice offered Zimmerman a scholarship before the nearly 7-footer had ever played a varsity game and all of the leg work over the years paid off as Zimmerman tonight tweeted that he’s going to stay in Las Vegas to attend UNLV.

Gorman’s Zimmerman chooses UNLV

As a freshman, Stephen Zimmerman was growing into one of the nation’s top basketball prospects. The 7-footer blossomed into a McDonald’s All American, and in the fall he will be a UNLV freshman.

A coast-to-coast courtship of the Bishop Gorman High School star finally ended Thursday night, when Zimmerman committed to the Rebels and announced his decision on Twitter.

Stephen Zimmerman, five-star senior center, joins strong UNLV class

Jeff Borzello, ESPN College Basketball Recruiting Reporter

Five-star senior Stephen Zimmerman has decided to stay home for college, choosing UNLV over multiple blue blood programs.

Zimmerman, a 7-footer out of Las Vegas' Bishop Gorman High, announced his decision on Twitter on Thursday night. His stepmother also confirmed it to ESPN.com.

If NBA prospect Christian Wood decides to return to the Rebels, he and Zimmerman will combine to form one of the most skilled frontcourt tandems in the country. Freshmen Goodluck Okonoboh and Dwayne Morgan, along with Oregon transfer Ben Carter, are also in the mix up front for UNLV.

Five-star center prospect Stephen Zimmerman commits to UNLV

By Sam Vecenie | CBSSports.com

The Rebels have a chance to do some real damage next season in the Mountain West, especially if forward Christian Wood returns to school instead of going to the NBA Draft. If Wood stays, the Rebels would be in the conversation for the best frontcourt in the NCAA, as those two would be joined by another freshman in Derrick Jones, rising sophomore Goodluck Okonoboh, and Oregon transfer Ben Carter.

Zimmerman joins four-star small forward prospect Jones and three-star guard Jalen Poyser next season to form what is currently the seventh-best recruiting class nationally, according to 247Sports.
