BYU to MWC and more $ for all

If MWC schools want to add BYU, then the most they could hope for right now is adding BYU in the same form that Notre Dame is affiliated with the ACC.  A formal, 5-game scheduling deal, with bowl sharing.

 

I'm not sure if that helps the MWC at all, though.  It helps BYU for sure, but the MWC?  Maybe it would help the MWC add 1 additional bowl game, and maybe it would please the MWC TV partners who like the BYU football games.  BYU could keep it's home games with its ESPN deal, and the MWC TV partners would get BYU "away" games vs the MWC.

If the Big12 expands east like everyone thinks they will and adds a couple of AAC teams. This could open up the door for MWC to add BYU, SMU, Houston and Memphis.

Idaho is without question our traditional Rival.

I love our history with the Wolf Pack, but it's not even close in terms of intensity.

I'd say it's Idaho, who they feel held them down for years on the academic side of things, and wouldn't help/let them grow their school.

I have not seen this, my DVR stopped recording and there's only a few clips up.  I can't tell who started this or that.

No doubt.  I wouldn't want BYU's oly sports or basketball here either, the way they dominated before we left.

Rob likes to make these threads about expansion that usually include kicking a couple of members out.  You're just the flavor of the year.  He usually wants to add some team like Memphis or UConn to get their basketball here.  It's been going on for years.
