HAWAII SHOULD CHANGE THEIR NAMES ,  TO KOA WARRIORS

Koa warriors

Koa warriors were an important part of ancient Hawaiian society. They served to protect lands, natural resources and the rightful status of the ruling chiefs. They were the frontline fighters when disputes erupted. These Hawaiian warriors were called Koa. Koa warriors were merciless in hand battle.

Clearly the article explains how the best team on the field managed to beat the best team in the field.

Don't be mad because the refs are going to need Tommy John surgeries after this poorly played game.

To be truthful, there’s still an ongoing debate between UH traditionalists who prefer the old Rainbow branding and the majority of fans who think the Warrior branding introduced during the June Jones era is superior.  I’ve been around a long time but definitely prefer the latter.

The university has done its best to satisfy everyone by implementing the Rainbow Warrior and Rainbow Wahine naming conventions across all sports while also mandating green, white and black uniforms that feature the traditional Hawaiian kapa-style “H” logo and kapa-style lettering and trims.  Rainbow colors and older logos do occasionally show up, but are typically limited to specialty or throwback uniforms intended to celebrate the program’s history.

The LGBTQ crowd basically appropriated Hawaii's rainbow logo or the issue would never have arisen so to say that's gay is to show one's ignorance. That said, IMO it does look a bit hokey and could use some modernization.

I also must admit to preferring it to the June Jones Warrior stuff mainly because the latter look follows so many other schools which basically appropriated SDSU's black-based unis which Don Coryell first implemented on October 12, 1963.

Personally, I favor original over derivative.

The UH 2006 jerseys were elite IMO.
