I was wondering when someone of important was going to question Miles decision to let his players decide.

Where was Les Miles when Gary was trying to keep his team from having drug tests?

What a hypocrite that little Fatterson is.

Patterson is the one who administered all the drug tests. Facts and what not.

Yes, he did. My bad.

His bad was doing them internally and not through the NCAA.

Better?

That is a distinction without a difference. TCU cannot do drug tests through the ncaa. The ncaa does not require tcu to drug test. But ncaa requires all schools to follow their internal policies regarding drug tests.

I believe Syracuse got in trouble for testing its players, but then not punishing according to Syracuse's own rules.

They do not have to report:

Gary was trying to keep everything on the down low.

Sorry, he's a hypocrite.

So he is a hypocrite for not giving information to the ncaa that they neither ask for nor require?

Who exactly do you think mails test results to the ncaa?

Miles got ripped in today's Times-Picayune for both potentially letting Jeremy Hill play and for putting the issue to a team vote in the first place. The issue is not really Patterson's comments - it's whether a player like Hill should be able to skate by with not even a 1-game suspension. The unexpected national news that this has generated has definitely got the LSU-TCU game some hype. My guess is that, with all the heat Miles is taking, Hill probably won't play.

Will be really interesting if Casy Pachall plays.  IMO that guy should not be at TCU.  Does he deserve another chance?   Sure.  Should it be at a diff school?  Absolutely

Casey Pachall will almost certainly be the starting QB. Patterson hasn't said so directly because he wants the LSU coaches to prepare for both Pachall and Boykin, but there doesn't appear to be any doubt around the TCU practices. Pachall served his 8-game suspension and sucessfully completed the rehab program, so there really isn't an issue regarding his status. Jeremy Hill, on the other hand, is an accused child rapist and alleged sucker punching bar brawler and has served no suspension nor any rehab program. It's curious how the Hill issue (and how Miles is handling it) seems to be eliciting attacks on TCU players and coaches rather than any actual discussion of Hill.

Gary is the one living in the glass house that threw the stone to start this.

If your program had a rep of being totally clean (uhm maybe like BYU), Gary perhaps could get away with it. (but he comes off as self-righteous)

BYU's program has a rep of being totally clean?

Remember that every argument you have with someone on MWCboard is actually the continuation of a different argument they had with someone else also on MWCboard.

It's just weird 2 me.  At BSU under Petersen players get kicked off the team all the time for less.  They end up someplace else for their second chance.  Part of me wishes Chris was as lenient as Gary.

No, Jeremy Hill started this by having sex with an underage girl and your failure to mention it (let alone criticize it) seems indicative of your rather lax attitude towards child rape. Patterson answered a reporter's question about whether disciplinary decisions should be made by team votes and your failure to discuss this issue (let alone criticize it) seems indicative of your attitude towards LSU's rather odd decision-making processes.
