Warbow
No, it wasn't Kelen Moore...not even close! Here's a couple MIchigan games against Hawaii with Jim Harbaugh and then Tom Brady. Top 3 QB's we faced. 1. Steve Young 2. Tom Brady 3. Ben Roethlisberger (All Super Bowl winners) Quote Disclaimer: Any views or opinions presented by this poster (Warbow) are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of the Univesity of Hawaii or it's loyal fans. GhostTown56
Matt Ryan was pretty good. Stefan Lefors of Louisville carved us up.
IanforHeisman
Not too familiar with Boise St's opponents before the mid/late 90's, but DJ Shockley really put a beating on us. Looks like Warblow is basing his opinion strictly on their NFL careers considering Brady wasn't a great college QB, so I'd have to say Matt Ryan is the biggest "name" QB to play well against us. Ichabod Crane went 1-3 against us, but always put up big numbers.

PokeTransplant
This is a pretty weak troll attempt. Comparing great college players to NFL players after they gain notoriety is comparing apples to oranges. The college game is all about "systems" that bring out the best in the 18-27 yr old (see BYU) kids that play the game. Steve Young is the exception in your list. He was a very good college player that made his mark in the NFL...only after that guy named Montana decided to move on... I would argue, and go ahead and try to refute the numbers, that K.Moore along with that kid from Houston did more during their collegiate career than any of the QBs on your list of "guys that Hawaii lost to"... edluvar
If Warbow is basing his idea of success on NFL careers of QB's then Hawaii has had some stinkers.
edluvar
Omar Jacobs, Matt Ryan, LeFlour from Ville, Beck, Darren Thomas. And this guy....

Mehhh, you are not giving Big Ben Rapelisberger enough credit. That guy was a fantastic college QB before his professional fame. He just didn't get enough props because he was in the MAC. Agree about Brady though, great as a pro but was an average Big Ten QB.
Mike Morgan
Though we're not officially members of the MWC (yet), I'll post this anyway. San Jose State faced John Elway three times, and beat him everytime. The Spartans also faced Jim Plunkett, Steve Bartkowski, Craig Morton, and the late Joe Roth, (who died of cancer just a few weeks after completing his senior season at Cal). Oh, and Andrew Luck wasn't too bad either.
