Texas Frog
This is TCU's last year to see this type of bowl match up............I can see TCU fans sitting this year out. Yeah. Anywhere, but Independence for TCU will pretty much be ignored by our fans. Quote 2005, 2009, 2010 & 2011 MWC Football Champions
ShaggyUte
If what you say is true, I would venture to speculate that is due to the fact that no normal WYO fans are pre-ordering tickets through CJC before knowing what bowl we're actually going to (or how we finish the season). The only people who do that are the 500 old-timers who will go no matter where it is. As for the rest of us...... I call those true fans. I'm a big fan of Utah, but I'm not a true fan like that. I don't go to any bowl games, ever. Respect to those 500 old timers.
Wyovanian
I found it hard to believe as well, but that's what I was told. That's just what they had pre sold so far. I'd suspect the high pre-sales have more to do with an anticipated TCU appearance than an anticipated Wyoming appearance.

The pre sales I'm talking about are what UW has pre sold, not the bowl itself.

You can only buy tickets through the I-Bowl itself right now.

Ya, we made more money off of shaving points then what a bowl would earn. All and all, we came out ahead. Warbow
Who's left on the schedule? How does the Hawaii Bowl do when you guys don't make it? Tulane and BYU. Hawaii bowl doesn't do to good without Hawaii. Unless SMU with June Jones comes here, expect about 25K to attend.
