Lots of inquiries and eagerness to get going on a mountain west conference community. I know we all prefer to maintain this place and continue the conversation here where there’s almost 25 years of discussions and history associated with this board. This is always plan A, to revive this place and retool things. I’m hoping Jeff comes back and tells us what’s happening…otherwise…
 

There is a plan b, and yes a name and branding have been made. I’m not going to disclose that yet until the site infrastructure is up and running. 

Thirdly, there’s needs to be some outreach to team boards to draw in traffic whether that’s here or elsewhere. Specifically UTEP, Northern Illinois and Grand Canyon. I think the utep board on rivals got nuked as rebelnet has from the on3 acquisition. A list of conference members team boards would be helpful.

One forum for both conferences won’t work. I guarantee that there are many people reading but not posting on the other site. We’ll see how everything between here and there shakes out over the rest of the year

The other board is starting to eat itself alive. Too many hard feelings being developed that started between the different conferences now spilling over into every other thread. Now even future conference members are biting each other’s heads off. Talk about starting separate conferences sub forums after football season but that place is going to explode long before that. The lawsuits once they hit the courts will be just more fuel for the fire.

I'd prefer a board that isn't a massive troll fest.  That shyt gets old fast and isn't very fun.  I'm tired of every thread turning into a pissing match over which school or conference is better.

Instead of just talking about getting this board going again it’s past time to just do it. Start threads and conversations related to the MWC and just follow through. I’m still on the other board but have little desire to engage. Everything is still up and running here so as long as it is just move forward.

Looks like I don’t have a choice but to come back here. A few weeks ago my password on wcsboard was lost but when I go to recover my password or send a message to Mug I get an ‘ERROR for site owner: Invalid site key’ message and can’t submit anything. I couldn’t even set up a new account right now even if I wanted to. 

So, I’m back here for the time being, or at least until it goes away. Not that I’m complaining too much as the vitriol between fans of the two conferences has become insufferable. There needs to be two separate sites and, imho, it should happen sooner rather than wait until March or July 1.

Yup. I have predicted that once the merger is complete the WCS Board will brand back to the PAC board and everyone who is a fan of a MWC team will come back here.  One board for two conferences is not sustainable.

Not going to happen. They will stay WCS and have separate sub forums for both conferences. It might work but getting through the actual divorce is going to be a mess. If this board remains rudderless it won’t matter.
