And less members.  Slightly bigger pie divided into less pieces.  I could see $5M+ in new contract.

I think after they announce the fbs full members, they will announce UC Davis and Sacramento State, if they can get into four time zones with the multiple games added i can see 8-10 per school or more.

This seems a bit odd. With fewer and less quality members the MWC will realize a 30% increase in its media contract?

Funny, that less quality member the MWC is going to get is the same member the PAC has been talking about trying to get.

With fewer teams they would have to televise more games for every team. And if the teams are of lesser viewership you get more games of lesser viewership. That makes no sense but we shall see.

some one infatuated with "texas"  even though they are like Texas's 9th at best college team

I don't think they are done, though.  I still make a play at NDSU here.  For scheduling reasons -- especially in football -- 9 is a better number than 8 anyway (every team gets equal number of home and road games, and 8 games in conference play).

NDSU and Texas State both have baseball, which is big since the defections left the MWC with only five baseball programs.  Texas State and NDSU were the top two on my wish list (in no particular order), and now we're halfway there.

NDSU is such a better add then this.   cmon

I don't know about "better" - but if NDSU was added, along with Texas State - and maybe 1 or 2 others, that would certainly boost the TV $$ for all teams.  NDSU owns the N Dakota TV market, and Texas State has a solid following.

The MWC needs two full members to meet the 8 full-member FBS requirement.  NDSU is not getting a full membership deal.  The Olympic sports just don't pencil nor are they compelling travelling to Fargo.  A football only invite to NDSU is possible.
