agswin
Call me crazy, but my desire is to be linked with like minded schools in the Western United States. That is really all. I am not a hard-liner on X State or U of X. Whatever. The things that are good and should matter: 1. Federal Land Grant Institutions with stated missions and outreach goals to educate the citizens their state/region as a primary goal. 2. Respectable Research Institutions with a recognized standing of Research Capabilities, Infrastructure and Spending 3. Existence of a well-round portfolio of Doctoral Programs/Degrees Awarded. It seems that the schools in that category should be able to construct a solid and long asting conference with that makeup. That is the crew I want to hang wait. alum93
So what's the plan? Send out invites now? Wait until you find out what happens with Memphis, Tulsa, Air Force, UNLV? Tell me how Gloria convinces anyone to join with multiple schools hoping for the next invite to PAC or AAC. Obviously the strategy with PAC2 and exit fees was a dud. Next steps? Boise Blue Smurf Turf rat skunks. We should celebrate these schools leaving. We lost nothing, we gained with them gone. Get Air Force to agree to leave and we are really cooking. Air Force to AAC TODAY!!! MWC Rebuild UNLV UNR New Mexico UTEP Tulsa Wyoming Utah State San Jose State Hawaii (Football Only) Force the PAC-12 to take lowlifes like Memphis, Tulane, USF (wherever that is). MWC will respond immediately by adding Tulsa and UTEP. I am telling you, we will have the better conference long term. They are dead in the WATER without Las Vegas! Lock them out. Testify Brother!! agswin
I have wondered at times if they just got confused between UNLV and UNR. Or, is this some type of social justice war against the State of Nevada/Legalized Gambling? When I think about the city of Las Vegas, they seem to check all the boxes. Athletics History ?. Check. Athletics Facilities?. Check. TV Market ?. Check. Population ? Check Overall Financial Resources in the City? Check. Is it not more than a bit ironic that the city known as the Sports and Entertainment Capital of World was not selected? Perhaps the stage just is too big. Wyoming puts up better television numbers than SDSU so I don't think that media value is an impediment.

CKS007
While I like the out-of-the-box thinking about adding Canadian schools, I don't know if that would help with a TV contract. Would we need two contracts? Are CBS/Fox available in the north?
