Less teams have less mouths to feed right Einstein. we have a free NCAA pass until 2028 to play with less teams. For 2028 we can add only ONE school and be fine, two if AF leaves (which we celebrate if they do). We keep all the NCAA credits we have earned in the MWC with now four or maybe five less mouths to feed. We are rich. we have autobid to Playoff and need maybe two other bowl games to satisfy a seven team conference til 2028. New Mexico has a bowl game so that fills one slot, the second slot should be a new bowl game in Las Vegas at the new baseball stadium. We own T&m so MWC tourney stays there. what’s the problem? We be patient, collect all our money and get rich. The PaAC whatever does without us and can’t get a tv contract without us. They are desperate, make them beg. Long term it makes no sense, attendance will be way lower. How are you going convince fans and to recruit kids to watch or play against a Montana or South Dakota State. You don’t seem to understand that the PAC has learned from their mistakes and IS making moves with a network. An extra 10 million payout does nothing long term. The next tv contract will be peanuts. The bowl situation will be worse because less teams will mean less revenue, additionally the perception of the conference will be low…making it harder to get a program into the playoffs. How are you going to convince a committee that you should be in when it’s half full of FCS programs. It’s dumb. The fact that Pete thamel is reporting AFA to AAC is a real possibility means that ESPN is prepared to immediately move forward with other schools to AAC. UNLV should be prepared to make a change of conference, staying put will probably destroy our athletics program.
UofMTigers
maybe a back-up plan should they not get in the Pac-12?
NevadaAllStar
In a few years the entire system could look different, more playoff spots, B1G and SEC break away, who knows. The more teams that leave now the more money for us leftovers, heck, maybe even Nevada can finally get the indoor facility done!

WasatchAggie
Longterm, the P2+4 will be back with the rest of the hoi polloi. They didn't make the cut the last movement and they certainly aren't going to make the next cut. Spending millions to go nowhere long-term is what they all just did. https://www.si.com/college/utah/football/kyle-whittingham-says-mega-realignment-is-coming-with-nfl-minor-league-approach

Did I hear a WOOSH?
On 9/16/2024 at 3:22 PM, RebelRobert said: UNLV would be a fool to go to the the AAC. Let AF do whatever they want they don’t belong at this level anyways. They can’t compete in NIL and beyond. PAC-12 will immediately raid AaC if we are stupid enough to go there. Only way to prevent that would be signing a long term deal to lock everyone in and we don’t want to be locked in long term with AAC. worst idea ever to go to AAC. Day we go the PAC-12 would raid them. UNLV should stick in the MWC and collect the $100+ million owed to us. As soon as we collect that money, we vote to dissolve the conference. Do not add anyone (NO EXPANSION). NCAA has to give us two year grace period after clowns SDSU, Cal State Fresno, Boise Truck Drivers, and Colorado State Lambs leave. Let AF leave. Collect $100+ million. Dissolve MWC. That is the plan. Unless PAC-12 agrees to pay fully for UNLV. which they will. They need us, we don’t need them. The PAC doesn’t have what it takes to raid the aac. ESPN and aac could swallow the whole PAC before it gets to that point. If someone leaves the aac it’s because espn doesn’t want them. That won’t be Tulane or Memphis.

AF has no business in the NIL era and we don’t want anything to do with them long term. AF is horrible in everthing, they have to cheat just to compete. That leaves seven members: UNLV UNR UNM Wyoming Retard (Utah) State SJSU Hawaii (partial member) We collect the $100+ million payout. we can compete until 2028 with less members. Do NOT EXPAND ever! Four of us vote to dissolve the conference. We are free to join PAC-12 for free and keep our $15-$20 million share. Lol, that’s 10 conference bball games. You jokers were having a hard time filling out your schedule with 18 conference games. But you sure showed sdsu soo I guess it’s worth it
