Beaver-Poke
The 17th Street Cafe near Washington Park or the J's Prairie Rose downtown are good for breakfast. Born in a Barn, Crowbar or Altitude Chop House downtown. Turtle Rock Cafe, right across the street from campus. McAlister's Deli on Grand has somewhat of a chain feel but it's a great place for lunch. Alibi Pizza is good. If you want to catch some scenery, drive out to Centennial (27 miles) and try the Bear Bottom. Matty the bartender is a great guy.
SanDiegoPoke
Buffalo Indian has surprisingly authentic Indian Food, and if you are vegetarian, Sweet Melissa's is great (even if you are not vegetarian). We'd all be remiss not to mention the Prairie Rose for breakfast.
wyo 1
3 hotdogs for a dollar at the local loaf and jug, I’m well aware of how thrifty you guys can be.
Beaver-Poke
Bummed the closed the Kum N Go by the old Clark Street overpass. The Wendy's on Grand should be open by now after renovation. Of not, there's a Jimmy John's just down the street.
Beaver-Poke
Checked out the downtown Laramie webcam after the game last night and it was hopping. Big crowd in front of the Buckhorn, which must have been crazy. Looked like a sellout, or close to it, at the WAR and the crowd was really into it. Life is always better when Howdy Doody and the Zoomies get their asses kicked. Svoboda looked very good last night. 3
SanDiegoPoke
It was a great weekend in Laramie. Although almost no SDSU fan agrees with me, the Wyoming fans are far more passionate and supportive than SDSU fans.
agswin Posted yesterday at 07:11 PM Share Posted yesterday at 07:11 PM You have to cut the SUDS fan a little slack. It is only since they built their own stadium that any of them started to become more serious fans and follow their team. It does seem like we found a decent pizza joint in Laramie a few years ago. I was hoping for something at least disguised as authentic Old West food like Navajo Fry Bread smothered with Green Chili, but Laramie seemed to mostly be fast food like every small city in the West. Same slop, different location.

Even 10 years of great football didn't convert many, if any, to attend when the team is down. There are now far more basketball fans (for obvious reasons).
