lobo-tomy
I can't believe that SDSU and BSU took the first train out. Shocked, I'm just shocked. Best of luck y'all. It's been a fun ride. I've never cared much for who we played I just follow the Lobos. I'll follow just as much if we're playing Outer Mongolia Tech (who has a great!!! Equestrian team BTW) as the teams that leave. 1 Quote Out of my mind for the Lobos!!

On a somewhat related note; The Pack doesn't have a lot of football history with SDSU or CSU, but Nevada started playing against Fresno State in the 1920's. The first game against Boise State was in 1971. We have played those schools a jillion times. With the new world order, it is entirely possible and even likely that the Pack will never play either school in football again. I don't really know how I feel about that. Maybe the change will be better in the long run.
Rocket
The whole thing is a bummer, OSU/WSU enjoyed PAC money and fame for years off of the bigger schools. It's more like a lateral move since the big schools aren't there anymore. I don't see why they didn't just merge but San Jose State will be in a good conference eventually, the market is there, the stadium does need to be completed though albeit in the shape of FBS not FCS, if everyone is smart MWC should not expand but use the money to get their stadiums to where the big schools will want to come and play in a nice new, at least 30,000 seat venue. my .
LoboMan59
All sports “scheduling” for the remaining “dead man walking” MWC schools is gonna be epic! 1. Will the rivalries that the departing schools had with some of the left behinds continue for a little bit, or just left die on the vine? 2. Will they still want/expect to fill out their OOC schedules with any left behind schools, once the Pac is back to 12? 3. Will the left behind schools even want to schedule the departed schools? What makes you think they're going to go all the way back to 12 teams?
