Time for Boise State fans to sweat a little

That coupled with the fact that Boise State's Jeremiah Dickey, who has done an amazing job at Boise State, still hasn't been signed to a contract extension (in his final year of his contract).  Plus the fact that Dickey worked at Houston for 7 years previously.  There is also the fact that Dickey has made no secret of his desire to return to Texas.  Put it all together and it would seem Dickey's days at Boise State are coming to an end.

Their statement for what they are looking for is exactly Dickey's strengths. They would be stupid to not hire the guy. He's a superstar and the best AD Boise has had. If he leaves, he's left the place much better than when he arrived and left a clear blueprint vision of the future for the next person... if it comes to that.

Not sure. They could hire from within. When Dickey was hired, they didn't find someone in the first round and had to start over from scratch. Fans started to get worried. Then when it was announced that it was Dickey, he was almost no one's first choice. He turned out to be the right hire, so I'm not concerned that they will find the right guy again.

According to a recent article in the Houston area Dickey hasn't even been contacted as of this week.   The article also mentioned three primary candidates - none of whom is named Dickey.
