Political boundaries aren't geographical ones.  The West is the best.  Hate the political divides, but that shit doesn't matter when you are on a peak or the divide between river drainages or in the middle of high desert or on the coast or anywhere in this beautiful land.

Idaho is a beautiful state. Just like every state, it has big assholes. Unfortunately, we have a whole generation of kids where a high % of them haven’t been taught to be strong people. They haven’t been taught to deflect insults, and maintain a strong self esteem & purpose in life. 

So if you’re leaving a state primarily due to politics and the insults you get for not being the majority, then I think that’s a symptom of another problem you haven’t addressed, because big assholes are everywhere. And if you’re prone to hearing them and letting them affect you, then moving won’t solve that.

economics, family, love. The primary three reasons people pack up and move. Quality of life usually falls into the category of a nice side benefit.

Boise is liberal, the rest of the state except for Sun Valley is conservative for the most part. The wealthiest parts of of Boise, the north and east ends, are more liberal than the south and west sides.

I think that's true in every state.  The rural areas are usually very conservative.  Probably due to the isolation, which they prefer.

Check out the number of hate groups in California. It’s not like California is some bastion of acceptance.

Along with 3M others in San Diego County. That’s twice as many people as in the whole state of Idaho congested in an area that’s 5% of the size of Idaho. I guess you must like living on top of each other with all the associated problems that go with it.

Exactly what I was just implying. We have plenty of MAGA friendly pockets in this state skewing the racial acceptance the majority is known for. Big state, big population in the metro areas, lots of hatred and ignorance concentrated in some rural areas. And regarding your next post, San Diego has plenty of open space throughout the county. We're doing fine but thank you for your concern.
