I wonder if they will want more sports options?  I'd watch sports on Netflix before Apple TV.

why?

I haven't tried it, something wrong with it?

Watch these streaming deals folks.  They kind of tell us what our future paychecks will look like.  The next media deal (MWC, Pac 14, Frankenstein, whatever) is going to be very streaming heavy.  This is NFL, and it's in addition to OTA as opposed to instead of (I'm pretty sure) so it's not a real good indicator, but keep your eyes on these.  This is our future.

Myself, personally, I don't need another streaming service to pay for that has a lack of titles I want to see.  I already have Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, Disney+, Amazon and a few others that I may drop soon.  I picked up Peacock on a 99 cents a month black friday deal and didn't renew it because there was nothing on there to watch.  There are multiple shows that I want to watch on the services that I'm keeping.  Getting another streaming service for a sport will not make me open my wallet.

To succeed in streaming you need content.  LOTS of content that overwhelms me.  If you have shows and want to add sports, get lots of sports, not just one league.

When the MLS package was free through T-Mobile, I signed up.  But other than some soccer games, there was nothing on Apple TV to watch.

Misleading.

It dont cost anything to watch games on Fox, CBS, NBC or ABC.  Well, spend $10 on an antenna.

You dont need to pay for ESPN AND ESPN+.  One or the other.

That alone cuts that number in half or more.  That doesnt take into account that any games on Amazon, ESPN, Peacock and Netflix are OTA in the local markets.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

Yeah, okay, dude! The point of the article is to be illustrative of the skyrocketing consumer costs, but good job keeping to your personal standards of exactitude.

If you're ok with some interweb journalist lying to make a point. no skin off my nose.  Maybe if more people had any kind of personal standards, media credibility would be a lot higher.

This one's a better indicator.
