It helps to get people behind you to pay NIL as well but it's hard to do when you are an asshole.

I think when he was hired he probably told Green Bay that Wyoming was his dream job, like Shyatt with Clemson.  Linder's attitude is what sunk him.  He whined instead of embracing the community. Sundance is the complete opposite.

NIL is a big problem for all of us less funded teams.  Some coaches figure it out, some whine about it.  Let's see what Sundance is made of.

They go hand in hand.  When you’re a jerk, throw donors under the bus, throw students under the bus, throw players under the bus, generally unwilling to engage potential donors…one can’t expect money being thrown to support you.

Really???  Nico got signed to a an extension & gets close to a $0.5mm raise & which puts him #2 to CSU-Diego in roundball HC salaries.  He’s brought in a good group of Frosh & Portal Peeps, while Mbemba, Lake & Evans are all solid returning Rams.

I am not concerned, just kind of warming that LOLFartz is concerned about UW (he always seems that way, lol) - he must follow everything Wyoming Sports to have posted this topic so fast! 

Anyway, the 2 majors are in a decent place at CSewe, particularly hoops, although we also all know it won't last (likely as Nico will be gone within the next 12 months).  I kind of hope you keep Norvell as long as you kept Fairchild and Bobo.  That said, Norvell's assistants are of much higher caliber than the former coaches staffs were - so we will see.

Not sure all the money in the world could keep players on his team.  He is NOT head coaching material.

LuluFuZzy isn’t very popular on the CSU Board either.  He knows a lot about recruiting.  However, his in your face & know-it-all style turns most CSU Fans off.

2-majors + we’re close to having a dynasty in Track ’n’ Field.  Soccer, Tennis, golf & Softball  have been trend up recently.  Woman’s Hoops & V-ball need to right the ship & get back to their dominate ways of not so long ago.

Linder Buyout Settlement Deal - 

 

Wyoming waives buyout damages Linder would owe.

Wyoming agrees to two road basketball games at Texas Tech this year and next for $150K each with the awful roster situation Linder created. No return game in Laramie.  
 

Wyoming gets a 200K increase for our football game at Texas Tech in 2028.  
 

How’d we do? Personally I’m struggling to see what we are getting out of the deal other than ridding ourselves of Linder.

It wasn’t and Wyoming initially refused to waive the liquidated damage buyout.  Instead we negotiated a ‘deal’ that leaves me shaking my head a bit.

You also got some cash to cover travel expenses. At this level, that's a lot.

Great, I didn’t see the travel expenses being reported in what I read.  Where did you find that? Is the $150K per game in addition to TTU covering all travel expenses?
