That argument pisses me off.  My daughter does club swim, does that matter in your opinion?  She's 13 and swims 5 days a week and has been working at it since she was 3.  She knows exactly who the top swimmers in her age group are from Fresno to Bakersfield, and they know who she is.  So would it be okay for a biological male to start swimming against them and dominating those top ten girls who've been working at it their whole lives?  It doesn't matter right, it's not professional or the olympics.

Imagine if she starts dominating and “media” orgs like this: https://x.com/reduxxmag?s=21&t=aUrk07WoJidZAhwwldQqag

…start making baseless accusations on twitter that go viral about your daughter being trans. Then people start posting her instagram. Then people start talking about her jaw line. Calling her a dude among girls. A cheater.

Should we give your daughter the benefit of the doubt? Or guilty until proven innocent? Reddux report is good enough evidence?

So, is it a dude, or not?

Honestly yes.  You are part of the problem.  She's +++++ing 13 years old.  The point of sports at this age and at this level is not about winning at all costs, it's about life lessons, making connections, learning a good work ethic.   In the big scheme of life, who cares if she wins a medal at 13 or 14 or 15 years old?  If her times are good enough for a scholarship it's good enough for a scholarship.  The lessons she learns from swimming will be more important than how many medals she won.(And for many of us the lesson is that life isn't fair or you can try your 100% hardest and still not win)

Volleyball was my sport growing up, in Hawaii I'd go to pick up and play with a lot of trans athletes.  I don't know why they gravitated to volleyball there, but they did.  In either case, I can assure I've never met one who transitioned (or were transitioning) to get a competitive advantage in sports.  They transitioned to stay alive.  At the very least, please stop questioning their motives and actually talk to a few of them.  Sports was one of my outlets in life when things all around me were shit, and if someone else has the same outlet I think it's not important to take it away from them.

Now is it fair?  I'm aware of the data of pre and post transitioned athletes and don't want to explain it to someone that doesn't make up their mind.  But even in volleyball, you can't deny that a trans athlete is gonna be taller per-capita than a non-transitioned athlete.  There absolutely is some sort of biological advantage in many sports, even if it's miniscule.  And at *some* point, we *are* all going to be limited by our physical attributes in our chosen sport.  So yes, I think at some point it should absolutely come into play.  It should absolutely not come into play as a kid, where we preach inclusivity, and even in the NCAA, which I'd argue is against their core mission.  If they want to stop her from playing professionally or during higher stakes, they are welcome to. (Also adult rec leagues)

Find it interesting that after HS and 2 different Division 1 colleges, where she didnt exactly dominate, now a single story pops up.  A story that is notably not getting much play elsewhere.  Lia Thomas' story went national.  This one....not so much.  Color me skeptical.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

The dudes with dicks should play with other dudes with dicks, and people should stop enabling their fantasies of being girls.

For those poor souls who have had their dicks and scrotums removed, they should also be required to play against the endowed.

Meanwhile the adults that enabled and allowed those pour souls to be mutilated should be prosecuted, along the Doctors who performed the mutilation.

You're the one who keeps bringing it up, are you sure you're not the one with the fetish?  FYI, Only 4-13% of trans folks have bottom surgery--fewer in the athletic community, I'd say it's unlikely that anyone so young has had it.

How many H.S. guys would really like to play college ball?  But they can't physically make the grade.  If a trans athlete is playing with girls it's because he/she can't physically compete against the boys.  This is so absurd.  They should join the millions of others that can't physically compete no matter how bad they want to.

Those that chemically castrate people should be prosecuted.

Those that request it, should be treated with compassion, and love, and significant psychological and psychiatric support, that is focused on ensuring they understand their fantasy is just that.

Agreed…. The world needs more of that MWC Board compassion and love!

One issue with the above is trans will gravitate to psychiatrists and doctors that will cater to their wishes. The trans community knows who they are and that’s who they seek out.

I have a hard time comprehending how cutting off your balls and penis somehow makes a male into a female. It doesn’t.

That’s a big no for me. I stopped going to games and following the SJ Sharks over this issue. I will stop following the Spartans too. If you have XY chromosomes you should not play against those with XX chromosomes.

We should have a women’s division and an open division. Anyone can play in open. Women’s division is closed

I play rec league tennis.  I would be an upper end 4.0 woman if I decided to be one.  If I play women who are 3.5s, I beat them easily, even if I think they’re good.

I live in a red state, our adult rec leagues allows trans athletes regardless.  Yours might too---because....basically if your wife competes against Bertha and suspects she's a biological male--you really gonna have her inspected or subject her to testing?   What about performance enhancing drugs?  (I suspect several of the athletes I regularly compete against are on shit).  Where do we draw the line?  If someone wants to go through all that just to win a t-shirt/trophy for a rec league--+++++ it at this point it's crazy dedication.

I respect you're opinion , but what about the 47'ish other different XY combinations--several others that can have a vagina, but also confer several genetic advantages in sports.  Many of them probably have no idea. (like Caster Semenya didn't until they forced her to get tested)  It affects around 1% of the population--so they are already likely in sports all over everywhere.

Also we have no idea if this woman is or not.

Careful what you wish for. I could see another title 9 type lawsuit for trans people that would require every university to sponsor a separate trans team for every sport haha.

I like the open division idea, it would be interesting to see if some women start to join it over time.

I’m sure there are some men’s programs that would’ve happily talent a flyer on Caitlin Clark. Same could be true for other sports such as tennis, golf, soccer, etc.

If you ever need to know if a woman swimmer is really a biological male, @Jackrabbit is the board expert on that.  🤣

Those rare cases can be determined on a per case basis by the sports governing body.
