Boise State basketball player MAY be going to the football team

Kobe Young, who recently entered the transfer portal as a basketball player at Boise State, is considering the possibility of joining the Boise State football team as a wide receiver.

At Wyoming, Austin Conway switched from the basketball team to WR on the Football team and it worked well. He was returning punts and a productive WR his first year after the switch and by his SR season was our best WR

If Young joins the Boise State football team he would likely be doing so as a preferred walk-on only.   The football team has too many guys on scholarship as it is.  As of right now 6 of the current scholarship players won't be on scholarship at the end of this semester.  To make room for the 8 true freshmen who will be joining the team in August.
