A sneak-peek at what $60 million is getting Boise State for their north endzone remodel

Recommended Posts

The project is way more than the one photo Boise Dev showed.  As a BAA Board Member I’ve seen the entire project and I’m here to tell you it is fantastic on all levels.  Suites, Loge boxes, Countertop seating, Club seating, and standing room - all with access to every amenity.  There will also be additional food vendors and bathrooms available to everyone.  You will be able to walk completely around the stadium which you can’t do today.  It’s actually a fairly sizable building attached to the Bleymeier facility with a dining/nutrition area capable of accommodating all BSU student athletes at once.  The single photo shared doesn’t do it justice.

In my opinion it’s way better than the Stueckle Center.  A lot has been learned since that was built.

Additional bathrooms is an odd selling point  :D

This is what you get when your stadium expansion efforts are band-aids on top of band-aids.

Brings a whole new meaning to the Movie Title "A River Runs Through It"

The sightline issues, to me, would be drive me nuts.

I can barely suffer through a trip to Albertson's Stadium every couple of years.  I would probably lose it if I had to deal with that abomination through a full season.

The constant question of "Do I sit down low and try to watch the game around the belly or between the legs 300 lb. lineman, or do I sit up high and watch ant size creatures battle it out an a garish blue rug.

Odd take.  I think the lower upper deck sideline seats at Albertson's Stadium give a great view of the field.

You need to visit more stadiums, bruh.

As someone who is nearly 70 years old it's difficult for me to fathom why this remodel is going to cost 60 million dollars but that's life I guess.

$60 million?? Rebel Robert will tell you what a Main St. $3 XXX sneak peek does for him, and he gets to look at the real thing, not a picture.

Don't worry about your looks, you can't really change that.  But you can do something about your smell.  Take a shower.  And clean that stupid infection.

Typo:  "I" for "It.”  However, you know that.

You can smell me all the way from The 208 (Idaho) to The 310 (Westside of LA + the SoBay)?

I don’t have the infection.  According to former UNR HC & AD Chris Ault, “Jay Norvell leaving Nevada (for CSU is) the “Green Infection.”  It’s a figurative migratory tale.  Not a literal “Green Infection."

Don’t worry @Pelado.  I got your back...

tony Altimore put out football revenue for 2022-2023 season.  Boise was quite low.

It’s also nearly completely fabricated.  I know he towed the old P5 west coast line during realignment so there’s sentimental interest in his pretty graphs, but most national writers stopped RT’ing him because he kept manipulating numbers throughout the realignment process and positing them as real.  Pick a couple schools from above graph and look up their numbers and you’ll find ones that don’t match.  I only looked up two and they both were grossly undercut.

I wouldn't buy them if I had the coin but it sure seems like those type of field level boxes are all the rage.  Probably better than the nose bleed suites in the sky center for watching the game.

The end zone field level cabanas we have are one of our most popular gameday experiences, particularly with corporate sponsors, recruits/families, and traveling groups, so you’re probably right about their targets.

It looks good to me.  I suspect with that price that there’s a lot of behind the scenes changes that add up.  Expanded broadband/wifi, bathrooms, maybe upgrading lights to led, etc.  $88m is only getting us a knockdown rebuild of a tower in our renovation, so I feel you.

I'm still trying to figure out how FedExForum built 20 years ago for 250 Million will cost over 500 Million to renovate for the Grizz to sign a 20 year lease extension.

It’s probably good that folks stay on the field level at your “stadium”. All the rust above the field is likely dangerous and not to code.

I’m sure recruits/ families/ sponsors are in awe when they first see your shithole dump.

Currently #14 ranked recruiting class for 2025, so it looks you may be right for once!

If UCF were to successfully create an outdoor metal structure in Florida that didn’t build rust over time then it would be considered a modern engineering marvel.  You need to see more stadiums before you get all judgy.

Tell me about it. Our entire football campus cost ‘only’ $55m to build in 2006, now it’s $88m for one tower.  City of Orlando trying to put a $400m roof structure over a $100m Citrus Bowl is silly economics too.
