Looking at his roster constrution, Cal was doing it the old fashion way, recruiting and developing HS kids.  That apparently does't cut it any more.

He's going to have to get into the transfer game and I think he has figured that out with his recent struggles at Kentucky 

I still think he will struggle to be an elite coach.  He was at his best when he could out recruit other schools and I just don't see him being able to do that anymore.

It felt like the players he recruited were more interested in developing their name for the draft than they were at winning NCAA ‘ship? Or maybe it’s just harder because teams are older?? And then it’s rinse and repeat rebuilding every year, losing players to the draft and not other programs.
