Moving to Vegas

Well, my wife started texting me soundscore ratings from a site called Howloud comparing our home with the one by Nellis. Sounds like she's made up her mind.

People, not a fan.

I grew up in old north las vegas, not super close to the base but in the flight path. We'd literally have to pause talking to one another or miss tv dialogue as the f-16s fly over.

However, it is cool to see military jets everyday tbh, especially when you get something a little extraordinary like a B-1, B-2. Those B-1s will set off car alarms for miles.  Loudest thing you'll ever hear. It's actually kinda fun. Stupid amount of power.

Looks like we're going to go with a new build in North LAs Vegas from DR Horton Homes.

That looks like a nice house and a good price for what you're getting. Then again my frame of reference for house pricing is this craziness in Boise.

One of the Final Five..........

Is it always this fricking windy here?

LOL no. This is outta control.

It tends to be windy in Spring and Fall, but nothing like this.

Good because my golf game isn't built for the wind so much.

Best weather is usually fall months - Late September thru November

Summer shouldn't be as hot as PHX area & thunderstorms probably fewer and more to the east over the higher elevations around western end of the Grand Canyon, but the taller mountains at the west side of LV valley can spawn a TS

Just got off the phone with the builder and they've offered us a property. They weren't able to get ahold of the three couples ahead of us on the list. $264K, 5.75%, $4,100 in closing costs. Monthly mortgage will be $2,575. End of June move-in.
