Idaho is never going to beat the allegations.

too bad we can’t move Idaho out of the west and put it in the Deep South where it belongs.   Idaho is a disgrace to the west.

Utah coach Lynne Roberts said her team experienced a series of racial hate crimes last week after arriving at its first NCAA tournament hotel and was forced to change hotels for safety concerns.

Roberts didn't go into detail but said Monday there were several incidents that happened last Thursday night after the team arrived in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, which is located about 30 miles away from Spokane, Washington, where the Utes were scheduled to play in the tournament's opening weekend.

KSL.com reported early Tuesday that the N-word was yelled at members of the Utah basketball team, along with other members of the traveling party -- including cheerleaders and the school band, on multiple occasions as they were walking to and from a restaurant near their hotel in Coeur d'Alene.

Utah deputy athletic director Charmelle Green, who is Black, told KSL.com that the first incident occurred while the team was walking from the hotel to the restaurant. An unidentified person in a white truck revved the vehicle's engine near the team before yelling the N-word in the team's direction and speeding off.

After the arrest of the khaki pants mafia in Cour d'Alene during a gay pride event, I am stunned the NCAA would put minority and LQBTQ athletes in the line of fire.

Most of the Aryan nation left the area decades ago but there are still remnants of them still around. I used to do business up there and and ran into several. Weird people to say the least. Most of the locals up there hate them and don’t want anything to do with them.

My buddy of mine went through a divorce, and decided to move there because of the cost, outdoor opportunities, etc. So on his first day on his new job, the director pulled everyone together to welcome him. At the end of the speech the guy told a really racist joke (n word and all) of what was an otherwise normal and very nice reception. My friend said “he told the joke and then stared at me for like 5 seconds while others laughed like it was normal.” Then, not another incident like that one in the 8 years he’s worked there, and even the director seems otherwise normal. My friend is not black btw, and still wonders why he did this?? So odd??

But it is perfectly acceptable for the other group to use the word in every other sentence?

I've got some pretty close friends who are black and one who golfs with us twice a week.  To him it's not acceptable for anyone to use that word. For humor, for profit from song lyrics, etc.  Never.

Its a culture thing. Kind of throwing it back in the face of the white man. No big deal unless you make it one.

Probably booked up with other teams and fans.

That's pretty weak for Gonzaga to host a tournament. Guess NCAA will have different thoughts from now on.

unlike some of the recent bogus allegations of fans yelling the n word, this one seems completely true (multiple witnesses)

why on earth some racist loser would harass people.   sad.   and embarrassing for 99.% people in Idaho I'm sure.

No room at the Inn(s) at the time. Everything was booked.

that is pathetic

Not sure why the NCAA tournament keeps selecting Spokane as a host venue when they clearly don't have the hotel space.

They could be doing this in Seattle or maybe Portland in the PNW
