Leon's purging the end of the bench.  Kobe had 3 years to get his offense to match his real good defense.  It never happened because he never got enough PT IMO.   

He's debating joining the football team too (6'4" 200 WR was a high  3 star in Washington HS ball) and that's possible if he doesn't get an offer to play hoops that he likes.

I agree. With more playing time he could be a diamond in the rough. If he gets a shot at the right school he should do well.

Not sure I get it.  Already had 2-3 scholarships to give and you’re just going to add more bench guys after the first 2.

Also think Kobe has less of a shot at playing time as a WR.

Leon was 3 for 3 in the portal last year even if Cam wasn't ever healthy.  Maybe he can do it again because he's got 3 openings so far.

Kobe wants to play hoops.  But if he doesn't get any good portal offers he loves Boise and may try football again.  Not much more to it really.  He wants to play basketball.

I’ve got to think Leon had a discussion with him and indicated his playing time wasn’t going to increase. He played good defense for us and rebounded well.

Didn’t show much on offense, but had limited playing time to get in any kind of rhythm. Great kid, I hope it works out for him wherever he lands.

Leon always tries to find a landing spot for his guys who leave too.  His connections run pretty deep in the west.

I'm not thinking he's NBA ready but I do think there's got to be schools very interested with some NIL money to go with that interest.  Saw that the Martinez kid is portalling too.
