Holy cow, Sundance really has his work cut out for him next year. There are still a lot of decent players in the portal so he could come up with a competitive team.

I hope he signs a slew of graduating seniors and basically punts next year.  Save the schollies for next spring.  Wyoming will be awful next year thanks to Linder and the biggest dick move of signing a few non MWC level players and then waiting until May to leave and take an assistant job.

The best part of it all though - Wyoming never recognized nor released any statements regarding Linder’s departure.  Should speak volumes to the little respect he has in the athletics department.

Not sure going the high school route applies much these days. Boise State has recruited 2 high school kids they think can play right away or develop. The rest are from the portal to fill positions of need with experienced players. I think that’s pretty common throughout the country.

We just took one commit from Green Bay as Wyoming signs two senior transfers today.

Senior Forward Cole Henry from Northern Iowa.  He was previously committed to Green Bay.

Senior Guard Jordan Nesbitt from Hampton via Saint Louis.

Wicks adds his 3 commit over the weekend.

Scottie Ebube a 6’10 forward from Southern Illinois with 2 years of eligibility commits.  He only started one game and averaged 6 points but did shoot 68% from the field.  He was a former Green Bay commit.  Not the biggest get on paper but we need bodies for next year. Wicks appears to be adding size.

6”10 270 at the very least he isn’t gonna get bullied.

Article on Wyoming commit Jordan Nesbitt.  He sounds like a terrible person.

I should clarify.  This is Nesbitt’s 4th team in 5 years.

Memphis

Saint Louis

Hampton

Wyoming

He’s a bit of a sleeper. His advanced stats are very good but he played limited minutes coming off the bench for Southern Illinois. I don’t know if his minutes were limited by conditioning or fouling issues.

Yea - looking at his advanced stats it was puzzling to me why he wouldn’t be starting.  Very efficient player when he was on the floor.
