Kyle was a late add to the roster during the summer when Roddy left CSU. He’s a really good athlete and visited CSU, USC, and Missouri before settling on CSU. His biggest issue is that while 6’10” he only weighs 200 lbs. The coaches wanted him to bulk up last summer and he put on 20 lbs. which he somehow found a way to lose before the season began. The staff was not happy. A lot of us were hoping things would work at CSU but him leaving is probably best for all parties.

Some kids can’t put on weight to save their life and then they turn 30 and get big enough to play DT for the Packers. I was one of those.

Josh Uduje, co 6th man of the year re-affirmed this morning that he is staying with the Aggies.  Solid core of Josh Uduje, Mason Falslev and Isaac Johnson returning from last years team.

Good for the new coach.  He's been  working hard to keep those 3.

Man that would  be weird.   Maybe he could go to SJSU...

He's an Aggie legacy so maybe he finds his way to Logan.

It would be weird, but it can happen.

Nelly coming back to UNM. Bit of a mixed bag last year, but when he's on, he's a very good rebounder, and rim protector.

8 boards a game you want him back.

The Masters 5k road race All American.

What can you tell me about this guy?

As a guard, He averaged 3 points a game and shot 25% from 3 last year.  Which is an improvement of his 2 pts a game and 18% from the year before.

On paper, this is shaping up to be the worst roster I can recall at Wyoming.

Well last year we lost everyone because of transfers and this year everyone graduated, so that makes last year worse than this year. Wenzel was a very good player that graduated but has one extra covid year and earned the opportunity to play a final year closer to his family. His decision had nothing to do with Linder being a dick. Powell never materialized like he should have. He was a decent player, so is a bit of a loss ill grant you but nothing like losing the guys we lost last year. If I had to guess he was told his minutes would be diminishing and role would be going to Cam before his assistant left and took Cam with him.

The senior transfers we brought in last year were brought in to stabalize the program after last year and I think they did that. What the plan is for the upcoming year?  Idon't know, I'll have more opinion on the team and program after I see who we bring in. I do like the look of the redshirted freshman Nigel Cook from the little I saw of him at the first game or two.

Now that we brought in the following 3 transfers and are nearing the end of our available schollies, how do you feel about the program? Do you believe Linder has assembled a roster that will be competitive in the MWC? Are you excited for next year in the AA?

Agbim- Sr - G - D2 Fort Lewis College, 15.5 ppg

Ihenacho - Sr - G - North Dakota, 14.5 PPG, 28% 3 pt shooter

Matija Belic - Jr - G - UC Santa Barbara, 3.9 PPG, 25% 3 pt shooter

He can be maddening. Effort comes and goes. He was in and out of the starting lineup all year. Had plenty of opportunities to lock it down and didn't.  He entered the portal last offseason too.

Matija does have the size and skills.  Maybe he just needs a fresh start.

In fairness to last year, Belic barely played until the last 9 games of '22-'23 when injuries took out our starting pg and first backup big off the bench.  His best moment came in the Big West semis vs UCR when he had 8 points off the bench on 3/4 shooting in 16 minutes.  We don't make the NCAAs without it.

Incomplete so far. Need 3 more players I think. If Agbim is similar to Akot, I'll take it. NOt impressed with Belic's numbers at all so that looks like a stretch but the highlights that JD posted are interesting looks like he has some skills but it is a highlight reel so....   Overall not too impressed at this point but I don't have to make snap judgements at every chance. I can wait till class is finished . We need to get a decent post player or 2. It looks like it is shaping up to be similar class and team to last year. Competitive but not quite good enough.

Yeah I am excited to go watch them next year.
