You know what my team also is doing? Winning games in a post season tournament and not pissing away a 17 point lead.

Go NIT yourself a banner.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

I remember Lucas making that last 3 and kind a breathing a sigh of relief. Was gonna be a nice rest of the day at work after the game.

wish we had just gotten blown out kinda

Omg.  I was in a meeting starting when Nevada was up 13.  This conference is going to do it again, aren't we?

And my God, the ESPN in-game probability graph... :suicide:

right? I checked just before my flight departed and Nevada was up 13 with around 8 minutes. What happened?

The story so far:

In the beginning the Universe was created.

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I didn’t even know that UNLV played Princeton until after it was over. Why? Because no one was mentioning it, and no one gives a shit. The NIT is slowly becoming the CBI where schools just blow it off. I don’t think it’s wise because player experience is important. But the NCAA Tourney is all that matters anymore.

Tourney smack coming from UNLV fans is just precious, anyway. You lost to us both times this year, but you make the big time NIT, and now you’re the shit because you beat an Ivy League school. 🤣🤣

Losing like we did today reminds me of what it would be like almost every day as a Rebel fan. So that is a silver lining….it could be a shit ton worse.

I really feel for you Nevada fans that had to go through that. They pu the game on the big scoreboard screen in Charlotte prior to the start of CSU-Texas. Most of us were watching it earlier during a CSU pre-game event. We say Dayton take the lead on that three-point play, then it was time to introduce the starting lineups so the game was no longer being shown.

I loaded the game on my phone, just in time to see Davison lose the ball. Then the free throws, then the missed three balls. Just a horrible way to exit.

And then CSU, for some inexplicable reason, decided to out horrible Nevada. I think they succeeded. But then again, Maybe we should just score it a tie and call it a day.

IMO Nevada will improve without Blackshear, great talent but no leadership or grit.

They might, we'll see what happens in the transfer portal. Lucas and Blackshear are great players but they did have their limitations

Steve Alford is a choker. Always has been, always will be

I guess you have to coach a bit to choke away a game in the NCAA tournament. Fortunately for you NEPO baby doesn’t have that problem.

They were very good players. Looking forward to the next group. Hopefully Nevada retains Davidson, Foster, Coleman, Rolison, Pope, etc.

The Generals made it a game but I’m not sure it’s on the level. Not a lot of defense.

Lulwut. This year's NIT field includes:

  • Ohio State
  • Virginia Tech
  • Xavier
  • Villanova
  • Butler
  • Iowa
  • K State
  • Utah
  • Cincinnati
  • Georgia
  • Wake Forest
  • Minnesota
  • LSU
  • BC

So, wtf were you saying again?

Only debutant privileged douchenozzles like Pitino the Elder blow off the NIT. It's an automatic for pretty much any and every decent program that doesn't make the NCAA field. And I rather play to an NIT semifinal than choke like yer mom on a moose dick in the first round. That was some hobo-with-cholera level bed shitting right there pal.

All the P12 teams on this list could’ve used the extra practice. Trust me. ASU, Stanford and Oregon State are hot garbage this year.
