Henley was good enough to start in the Big East, even if it was DePaul.  So he has experience playing in a tough league.  Methinks he'll hold his own here.

He is experienced, started in both the BigTen and BigEast, but in both seasons his stats are a little underwhelming. Both instances the teams were not very good but it is possible playing next to DJ will help his numbers.

As for the Boise transfer, hes a backup PG and a veteran bench guy. If he can provide 8 solid minutes and/or help out in press situations, great.

Hopefully we can sign Jefferson now.

Jefferson isn’t coming here.

Team has plenty of forwards and iffy shooters.

Jefferson should be super low priority if not a no go.

KK would be wise to sign the best scoring guard he can find and maybe hold the last for a hs guard.

Looks like UNLV also missed out on Dante Maddox Jr., Darlistone Dubar, Koren Johnson and probably has no shot at Kobe Brea.

Signing the boise kid so soon in the process should mean that UNLV is confident it's going to land one of its top targets, or Jaden Henley was the top target.

Also have to wonder if James Evans is a day one starter, or does KK use him like he uses most freshmen.

If those 2 are our splash signings, yikes.

I think Whiting is an equal replacement to JJ, same with Henley for Shane.

We have yet to replace the Boone twins or LuRod, so as it currently stands right now we are worse than we were last season, freshman aside.

James Evans replaces LuRod.

Dedan, Rob and Brooklyn should all come back as improved due to time in the program and experience.

Pretty much everything else is a question mark. Having that bit of continuity is a nice start.

That said, if KK does his job to the standard the program needs, UNLV will start the season with at least one proven stud scorer in the backcourt.

It’s possible these two will be much better on different teams, the kid was coached by one of the worst coaches in college basketball.

Then you have the kid from DePaul, 😆 who was ON one of the worst teams in college basketball.

Did you just call Leon "one of worst coaches in college basketball"?

I don't know enough about the boise guy but why not pick him up late after all options were exhausted?

Just a strange signing with strange timing.

I'm guessing there's more going on.

4’s got some kind of beef with Leon, apparently.

Hopefully, what Whiting lacks in athleticism he brings some needed maturity and leadership to this squad.

There is. It’s been reported by lobby that unlv is looking at a couple players that finishing out the school year ( aka collect NIL) before there’s any movement.
