D1 school which was a recently a JC assistant coach JC Coach assistant coach very successful D1 coach assistant coach assistant coach HS coach I suspect they will hire an assistant D1, JC or HS coach and he will be very successful. Madsen would be an unprecedented hire for BYU so I doubt it happens. The Church spends an enormous amount of money at BYU for its students. It is highly subsidized by the church. They won’t spend a ton of money for a coach. My son will probably leave BYUI with close to 100k networth due largely to his mentor and father being a genius and the church subsidizing his education and providing high paying internships to pay for college and investments. BYU lives in an alternate universe what others school would thrive with our hiring process. BYU fans are up in arms. We have never needed or hired an experienced D1 coach why in the world would we need one now. But It’s the B12 robe, well BS we will be fine. I personally think a no name assistant would have been just fine. Does he keep his beard. I just hope this doesn’t mean I’ll have to pay more in tuition for my kids now. That's big boy cash. I almost wonder if it's too much for an unproven coach in college? This also sends a message to the rest of college athletics.
