No more Brennan, Cordeiro, Kairie, Secondary and O-Line diminished from Graduation. Hope there isn't too much of an exodus in the portal!

you guys are doneee back to 2017 form unless your admin is half smart and hires Marion or someone big

Marion has got the talent to be a HC, I think the reason he got passed up by SDSU was he doesn't have the connections yet to build a strong staff and be 'the man' yet---he would be a great cheaper option than ponying up $3 mill for someone proven

id be gutted if Marion left UNLV at this point btw

I feel like Marion would be great for whoever ends up hiring him. He probably has a decent number of connections being on staffs and working with coaches for Howard, Oklahoma Baptist, William & Mary, Hawai'i, Pitt, Texas, and UNLV. Has his own unique high-powered Offense and seems like a good coach to play for.

GJ Kinne who was hired last year to coach Texas State was on the same staff as Marion at Hawai'i in his first year beyond a non-position/coordinator coach, and already leapfrogged in front of Marion in half the time of coaching.

Enjoy it now.... you'll soon be asking how much is his buyout......the guy's a good speaker.,..says all the right things....is a good face for the program...but he's a lousy coach.... can't tell you how many games we gave away due to his ineptness on game day....

Thanks for your input. I'll get the AD on the phone and have him replaced immediately.

I'm not sure I understand this hire by AZ. Brennan is 34-48 in 7 years at SJSU. That's more than enough time to establish everything. Their best year was a doesn't count 2020 Covid year.  He is 0-3 in bowl games.  7 wins was his ceiling. There might be something I'm missing here but I wouldn't hire a guy with that record.

I think what you’re missing is that 7 wins is wildly successful at SJSU. They don’t even have a complete stadium, for fck sakes. Imagine recruiting to that situation.

My boy???  You two have the bond of sparty-love.

Nor am I.  I don’t judge when it comes to love.  I support & encourage the Creeper's infatuation with petite men...

At the risk of sounding as anti-SJSU as you so often do, I'll second that and say that SJSU's stadium and basketball arena aren't even of mid-major quality, more like of FCS, and it's highly doubtful they'll ever have enough money to substantially upgrade them, much less replace them. Oregon State and Washington State must wince every time they think about possibly sharing a conference with SJSU.

There are high schools with better facilities and bigger budgets than SJSU. When Brennan took over it wasn't just that the cupboards were bare, they weren't even mounted on the walls. After the first tow years going 3-22 he has gone 31-26 with 3 bowl games and an a conference championship (albeit in the Covid year). I'm not convinced any other coach could've done much better. Will he work out? Not sure, but I like what he's had to say so far and the players seem to like him.

Cy-Fair FCU stadium made its debut in 2006 as part of an $80 million Berry Center project which makes it the most expensive stadium in Texas. The Berry Center also features a theater and a basketball arena. The stadium can hold up to 11,000 people on a Friday night and features a 17-room staff center a 456-seat auditorium, a multi-purpose arena that can hold 9,500 people, and a floor banquet seating and catering facility. The name of the stadium was changed from The Berry Center to Cy-Fair FCU Stadium after the naming right was sold to Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union.

Don't be ridiculous. I'm pretty critical of SJSU's budget and where they're at in the CFB world, and even I call BS on all of that. I'm willing to bet  neither outspends any FCS school either.

Memorial Stadium, opened in 1977, is the largest high school football stadium in Texas, which hosts some high school football games but primarily serves as FC Dallas’ home field. The stands don’t go all the way around the field, and the press box is only one story high, but it does have a video scoreboard and artificial turf. According to a news article in 1977, Mesquite paid $2.5 million for the 20,000-seat stadium, which is a little less than $10 million in today’s dollars. However, the old stadium is being renovated. Mesquite approved $11 million in renovations earlier this year, including a new facade, larger restrooms, and a new press box, which are expected to be completed by the 2015 season. The renovation also includes three new elevators.

Tomball ISD Stadium is one of the newest high school football stadiums in Texas that debuted in 2021. This stadium can seat 10,000 people on a Friday night with a view of arguably one of the biggest jumbotrons in Texas. This stadium also features a two-level facility that can hold up to 600 people. The tour doesn’t end there it also has a conference center, sports locker/dressing rooms, athletic training, a kitchen, and administration areas for sporting events. The facility was a total of $42 million to build in Houston.
