Including 5 non-pitching starters and their three best pitchers. About the only position players returning (barring transfer portal entries) are LF Bailie Clark (# 1 in BA @ .411) and 3B Hailey Painter (# 4 in BA @ .362). Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Yes, I believe all the above 11 will not be returning. Total rebuild.
Bronco7454
Much like Nevada I could not find any mention of San Diego State's Senior day participants among their story archives or on Social Media that I have access to but I'm GUESSING that the following 8 San Diego State senior softball players won't be playing there in 2025. 2B/3B- Makena Brocki - SR - .258 BA - 45 GP - 44 GS in 2024 SS/3B - Katie Goldberg - SR - .256 BA - 46 GP - 46 GS in 2024 C/1B - Alyssa Garcia - SR - ,318 BA - 40 GP - 40 GS in 2024 CF - Macey Keester - SR - .269 BA - 43 GP - 39 GS in 2024 RHP - Allie Light - SR - 2.74 E.R.A. - 33 GA - 17 GS - 112.2 IP RHP - Cassidy West - SR - 2.22 E.R.A. - 16 GA - 7 GS - 34.2 IP OF - Elianna Reyes - SR - .000 BA - 31 GP - 0 GS OF - Jewelianna Perez - SR - .111 BA - 8 GP - 1 GS
Bronco7454
The NCAA softball spring transfer portal opens in 10 days from today on (oddly) SUNDAY May 19, 2024 and (oddly) closes 4 weeks and 1 day later on Monday June 17, 2024. I have to wonder why they chose to open this portal on a Sunday - when offices at colleges and universities are closed and therefore not able to start the process of putting anyone in the TP. Just another example of the "brilliant" N.C.A.A. I suppose.

Bronco7454
It would appear that the awful Boise State (male) announcer is going to be the play by play guy for every game at the MWC 2024 Softball tournament. Along with the woman who is paired with him. She's pretty good. But if you think your commentator is bad - you ain't seen (or heard) nothing yet. Bronco7454
Anybody (IMO) would be an improvement. If I recall correctly the guy who I heard this season for Nevada (was he a one person announcer, i.e., not a dual team?) was pretty good. I'm surprised you are not watching the game that's on right now, i.e., Nevada vs. CSU. It's 0-0 after the 3rd inning. You can watch every game for the tournament via the MWC streaming channel or watch it online via the MWC broadcast guide.
Bronco7454
I know I'll likely get insulted for this but I really think this MWC softball tournament SHOULD be an 8 team double-elimination tournament. It would mean playing 14 or 15 games over three days but it could be done. I say 14 or 15 because IF the loser of game # 14 was that team's 2nd loss there would not be a game # 15. Five games would have to be played on day one and day two and 4 or 5 games on day three. Or it could be made to be a 4 day tournament (Thursday - Sunday or Wednesday - Saturday)

I thought it was Utah State that had all three Boise State games with ZERO audio. In fact I still think that was the case. But I have been wrong. It has been known to happen (more than I wish). Maybe it was BOTH Utah State and Nevada. Again I'm old..............that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it.

wolfan
Nevada wins the elimination game against CSU. 2-1. Fr speedster Bailie Clark hits an inside the park homer. In the 2nd game against UNLV the ladies win 8-0 in a 5 inning game. Mighty 5'1" Bailie Clark hits her 2nd HR of the day only this time she could jog around the bases.
