The idea that they sold only 17 million in tickets program wide is a joke.  They sell out Allen Fieldhouse (16k capacity) every game.  Their season tickets start at $500, and go up to $1800.  The football team has been drawing over 40k every game.  They didnt draw well in 2021-22, but were still probably clearing probably 1.5 million a game.  Non-allocated by gender/sport is 63m.  That undoubtedly includes the conference distribution.

This argument is so dumb.  The idea Gonzaga couldnt make more money in the B12 is ludicrous.  The issues are a) do they want to deal with the travel and b) Do the B12 presidents even want them.

The Big 12 is such an unbelievably stacked basketball conference even BEFORE Arizona joins; it shouldn’t surprise anybody that they are lukewarm on bringing in Gonzaga. I mean, how much will they really help the Big 12 as it stands? And that’s not even bringing up how Gonzaga is potentially a coaching change away from being a cellar dwelling geographic outlier.

International by dragging so called college kids on international trips during school year? Yea just call them pros and start paying them and signing them to contracts.  "Student" Athlete is a joke

It’s been a joke for many decades now for football and basketball and a few other team sports depending upon the school.  But now they’re dragging the olympic sports along where the athletes actually care about a great education as they don’t have unrealistic dreams about professional $$.

Yes 💩!

So you don’t think 16 mouths to feed in the B12 is enough? Add two more? With a TV contract that just got inked?

Right now, Cincy, UCF, BYU and Houston are atrocious in football and bring the conference down. Houston hoops is the only program out of the 4 that will do anything.

The good programs in the conference will have to do a lot of heavy lifting to compensate for these 4 schools.

To me, it seems logical to hold down the fort and see how all the new schools fit together and figure out what they will contribute.  The B12 won their battle this round of realignment.

No need to add unless there is a clear and specific need.
